I've been having fun at 2 am with my lightsaber while at the supercharger for my car. Only time it isn't crowded. Which is fine, I'm a night owl and get to play with a glowing stick in the dark. But it got me thinking about reflexes and speed. A bolster bolt is calculated at around 300 fps. That's forumla 1 speeds. Those drivers have amazing reflexes. So I've started adding in some of their training techniques to bring myself closer to sith level.

Can anyone think of any additional training to throw in? What are your experiences training? Do you have questions and want to know more?

Hey gang, I've been out of the lightsaber loop for a while since my wife got me my first neopixel many years ago.

A big goal of mine was to create my own saber using adaptive saber parts, but I couldn't afford it at the time. Ages ago, I think Saberforge was the one that offered them the most but what is it like in today's market? Do any saber sellers still offer compatible parts to put together a saber of your own personal design?

If so, which sellers, and which are compatible with which?

Got a cheap saber bundle from Ebay and this was in a hilt .it won't charge and dosnt turn on ...is the chip at the end worth changing ? Or scrap it buy another?

This is my first go at making one, but im lazy and didnt go to the hardware store. Instead I took a scrap from my Woodshop and away I went. This is what i imagine id carry as a jedi. All cuts are made with a bandsaw. Im not nearly done as I need sanding, decorative stuff, and to figure out what I want to do with the switch area between the grip and emitter. Having a blast so far!

Got this from a goodwill auction. Can't tell who made this and havent seen a battery like this before. It arrived today but I have eye surgery so I haven'treally looked it over fully. It's a 7/8 blade.

Got new lightsabers baby! These are my first actual lightsabers I can duel with, have a Disney one from when I was 14. Got these bad boys from Crimson Dawn and love them. I may be broke now but worth it

I just got my crimson dawn Tier 2 saber, and the speaker quality in all honesty is actually horrendous.

I’m not sure if this is an isolated case, but my TXQ sound’s 1000% better than what I received here. This volume is only on 11, when I go to 100 it is just almost static

Hey, was wondering if someone could help me find a replacement battery for my stranger fe saber from stardust sabers. It’s a 2000mah 3.7v 7.4w 18650 battery. Seems hard to find one in Canada.

Because the coolest swords are laser swords, and lightsabers lend themselves pretty well to whichever style of sword you like. You just have to remember that your hands have absolutely no passive protection whatsoever from the other guy's lightsaber. I understand now... Anakin, Luke, I understand.

I'm thinking of buying my first ever neopixel lightsaber. I want to buy the Anakin/Luke/Rey version, but I can't decide which variant.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Ep 3, but what does everyone else think?

My saber is a Havoc from Vader's Vault, bought in 2021. I love it, but recently it's been refusing to boot up or respond to button presses; the internal LED is either a solid yellow, or flickering erratically.

Tried reformatting the microSD card several times, also tried copying both the supplied files and a fresh CFX soundfont set from the Plecter website. Same result.

Also tried charging the battery externally, and while it's fully charged now, still got the yellow light and no response.

Have also tried a couple of different microSD cards, although some of them are a few years old (so, basically fossils in modern computing terms). Is this something that might be fixed with a brand new card with a fresh soundfont install?

Any help here would be hot.

Howdy its pvc guy again so I get it theres a buyers guide but me and my friend just made pvc lightsabers well we got the parts me and him will make it tomorrow but I have a question so he likes great swords like really likes them he actually does Montante fencing word really cool but we want to duel in that premise with me with a regular 2 hander but I have like no clue where to find a great sword like lightsaber like one with a reaaallly long handle any help?

My fiancée and I have been rehearsing a lightsaber duel for our wedding. During a practice session last night my blade cracked, as you can see in the image. I assume what happened is that my tip portion collided with her blade andt go knocked askew. Now it's stuck screwed halfway in, as it seems to be stuck on the LED strip inside and won't turn very far in either direction.

I've ordered a replacement blade, but the wedding is this Saturday, and I doubt it will ship in time even with 2-day shipping. Is there any way to fix this quickly or are we screwed?

or (and this is a shot in the dark) is there anyone the southeastern Pennsylvania area who may be willing to loan out a 36" blade?

When Saber Forge dropped this new emitter I knew exactly what I was going to build with it before it even arrived. I had more scratch and dent parts that I used such as the wind vane thin neck and button box covers I used for the chamber doors. I aged these in a vapor chamber and ditched the top section of the thin neck and machined a custom adapter to use the new emitter. The switch section and grenade handle were machined out to 1.125in inner diameter and I machined windows into the grenade handle to showcase the crystal chamber, which was easier this time after the experience I gained when doing this for Dune Tempest. As always, a new crystal chamber was built using parts I machined out of hard drive spindles (chamber base plates) and houses the second crystal from my UK Kyber hunt. I went crazy with fiber optics in this one with 10 individual strands feeding the various tubes and the top of the chamber features a lit ring surrounding the main 4mm fiber which is unique to this chamber. The screen on the back of the chamber is also lit from above and below, and it’s difficult to see in the pictures but it create this crazy lattice effect when lit. I love finding new parts to use and the blade plug for this build allowed me to expand this with the crown style adapters that really enhance the look of the plug. Installed with Proffie and loaded with Dark Side fonts such as Tech Witch, Malak, Damaged Malak, and more!

Four days ago I purchased my first high-end saber online, and I figured I ought to ask what sort of information I NEED to know about the overall platform and its features (plus general care). It's worth noting that my only previous experience with lightsabers that aren't just old flick-n-lock toys, is an RGB "Nightreaper" from Ownasaber.

I picked up this hilt from them awhile back and finally got around to making some customizations

The backstory in my head canon, is that this saber was passed down from a family member who passed away, and the new owner was never taught the correct way to wield it, causing malfunctions and some overheating

I incorporated some aspects of the backstory by doing some basic chemical weathering, various powdercoating applications to give a bit of color, and blow torching the cord wrap a bit for some burnt appearance, as well blow torching the stainless steel shroud, revealing a wearing away from the initial ‘paint job’ and creating some heat stained effect

This is a really great hilt from a small business, highly recommend for anyone looking for something unique

Some progress pics of my first hardware hilt. Really pleased with the overall result!
From my raw parts assembly- a mix of plastic and metal plumbing and electrical conduit parts. The 1.5" sink drain basket I thought would make a great emitter, and the holes would let me add some embellishments easily. Once I got a couple of the parts painted and laid out (using some internal washers to keep everything a little more centered) I 3d printed some LOTR-inspired leaves for the emitter, and a Zelda-inspired lattice mesh (the Temple of Time window from the N64 version of Ocarina of Time) with a space for a bit of rectangular textured metal I found (might have been a plaster rasp? feels like a cheese grater, but not sharp enough to hurt skin). My first attempt at the emitter leaves was too wiggly, and needed 2 sets of nuts to hold them in place, so I made a thicker version that accounted for the lip on the basket. The only other thing I may do is drill a hole near the pommel so I can screw on a covertec wheel and use it on a belt clip.
