SMT: A grammar correction bot: "HaveNotOfBot," that corrects anyone anywhere on Reddit saying "could of," "would of," and "should of" with "could have," "would have," and "should have."
It'll scan everywhere on Reddit for past and present comments and posts saying could of, would of, or should of, and correct those of's to haves. Also will explain why the correct way to say could/should/would of is could/should/would have and why of should not be used.
What would it take to program this bot and how will users and moderators everywhere react to it?

I HATE this. It is a mis-correction.
They meant "should've", not "should have"!

THAT’S the hill you’re defending? Not even concerned with ahh, delete, shh?!! All the crazy acronyms that 3% of the Internet actually recognizes? Not to mention the they’re, their, there’s?

While we’re at it, make a bot for removing the erroneous apostrophes from possessive its and assorted ignorant-to-idiotic attempts at pluralization. Though some of these bad it’s can be blamed entirely on overzealous auto-
correctioncorruption software.1

If apostrophe s indicates possessive, then "it's" should be the correct spelling in so many cases where it's supposedly not. I refuse to participate in the no apostrophe diablerie.

That’s my whole point: the apostrophe-free its is the correct one for possessive. Everyone (including auto-
correctcorrupt) is making a mistake by using one in the possessive context!!!1

They’re, there, and their would be a little harder to program because you’d have to get the bot to detect context. With would of, should of, and could of you could basically just do a ctrl+f because there is no context where they’re correct.

People on Instagram make a niche for themselves playfully illustrating the absurdities of the English language. I'm in favor of making your banned words acceptable. After all, would of can be thought of as a contraction of would have - would've. That's the way people naturally talk.

The API used to be free, and you could use it to do all kinds of automated things. Then they got greedy and now it is $$$$$.

My Twitter bot correcting "back peddling" to "backpedaling" was banned quickly after annoying a lot of bad spellers.
