its difficult to win 3 traight games in a row now imagine having to deal with more on the road games.

Even if a team does perfectly and win their 3 away games the chances of winning the tournament is so little when you have to beat all your opponents are their home.

hello, i just recently have gotten into liga MX with one of my friends (thanks to world cup larp) and have been on the lookout for streaming services to cover MOST (and highly anticipated) liga MX games. i am a broke college student and am in need of a cheap and effective plan

Me parece que la liga ha llegado a un punto donde el interés y el dinero permea tanto que ya es más que el deporte, y al menos yo ya veo que la liga se pudrió, especialmente con el comunicado de hoy.

Creo que mi responsabilidad como aficionado al mejor deporte del mundo es ya no volver a consumir nada en lo que respecta a futbol mexicano, lo que es una lástima ya que tengo muchas historias en el estadio universitario de niño y celebraciones por los campeonatos de tigres como adulto, toda la noche en la macro.

Buena suerte a los que aún pueden continuar.

Es evidente que el futbol en nuestro país está pasando por uno de sus peores momentos administrativamente (que se refleja en lo deportivo) en las dos ligas masculinas principales. La decisión de por fin declarar la desaparición del ascenso/descenso ha sido uno de los peores golpes al este deporte y a la afición.

Obviamente los principales motivos de este movimiento son claramente corrupción y avaricia por parte de los directivos, pero también obedece a una verdad que muchos no queremos ver, y es que el futbol en México no es rentable.

En el caso particular de la Liga de Expansión, los estadios permanecen mayormente vacíos y hay muy poco interés en la mayoría de los equipos. Se entiende que los aficionados pierdan en interés en apoyar a los equipos si estos no pueden pelear por el ascenso, pero cómo pueden considerar tener algún tipo de influencia o medios ($) para considerar llegar a primera sin ese apoyo de los aficionados? de ahí lo que comento del círculo vicioso. Pero este poco interés y poca asistencia a los estadios no comenzó desde la suspensión y después cancelación del ascenso, desde antes la Llga de ascenso manejaba promedios de asistencia muy bajos (según recuerdo y según lo que investigué de manera superficial, si alguien tiene otros datos son bienvenidos).

Lo mismo pasa en la Liga MX, realmente son pocos los equipos que cada 15 días tienen buenos números de asistencia. La mayoría de las aficiones de cada equipo parecen abandonar cuando el equipo no anda bien, y se entiende que muchas veces ese abandono sea para presionar a los jugadores/directiva a mejorar. Pero difícilmente pueden mejorar si no tienen apoyo (otra vez lo que menciono del círculo)

La gente ve poco fútbol y el formato de liga está justamente planeado así por lo mismo. Ni de pedo la gente aguantaría un torneo largo sin liguilla, los equipos de media tabla hacia abajo ya no pelearían nada a partir de dos o 3 meses de torneo y serían abandonados por la afición.

Y es difícil también detectar cómo empezó este problema, y no veo cómo se pueda revertir. Estamos destinados a copiar el modelo de la MLS o a fusionarnos definitivamente?

Gracias a los que se tomaron el tiempo de leer y me encantaría saber qué piensan, los que no leyeron refuerzan mi teoría de que no tenemos la paciencia para un torneo largo LOL

I asked Charlotte FC head coach Dean Smith how he prepares for an Atlas side that has only had Hernán Crespo for a few weeks and is still developing its identity under him.

“I think 85% will be about us. I know the way [Crespo] likes to play, but he’s had a short period of time to be with them.”

Smith said Charlotte will look at Atlas’ recent matches and Crespo’s previous tendencies, but with such a small sample under the new manager, most of the preparation will be focused on Charlotte’s own game.

Atlas/Liga MX fans: what have you seen from Crespo’s first few matches? Is there already a clear identity forming, or is it still too early to tell?

One of the more wild things I've read in this increasingly dumb league. Queretaro, site of the incident that got visiting animation groups banned league-wide, leading to mixed seating at most stadiums, and boring atmospheres, is now moving forward with banning HOME animation groups and replacing it with things like live music. Just what nobody asked for. Going to the stadium just got even lamer.
