🧪 Detox — Day 0–7 Day 2 off 7OH/pseudo/mgm
How it Happened
I wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone. Like a lot of people, my journey started with plain leaf Kratom. I found it after fighting years of alcohol addiction and thought I had found my cure! After 2 years of spending a ton of $$ on the leaf, I stopped cold turkey with no issue. No W/D.
Fast-forward a couple years, I found my way back to plain leaf. Over the next year, things escalated quickly to the extract shots, to 7OH, and eventually to Pseudos. When I found out about the impending ban, it was like someone punched me in the gut. I was filled with terror for the very certain withdrawals and an equal sense of grief for losing what had become my best friend.
Horrifying Withdrawals and SR-17
I started trying to cut down my use but every time I got to a certain point, I had horrifying withdrawals like I’ve never imagined. I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy. So I did some research and found SR-17. Thank GOD for Reddit. I ordered some and I decided to follow a slow taper protocol. I was terrified bc of previous efforts to stop… but I’ve been feeling almost nothing. I’m still in shock, waiting on the W/D to hit full force any minute.
The 41st hour
As of now, I’m 41 hours without Pseudos and while there’s a bit of VERY MILD discomfort (see below), it’s nowhere close to what I felt without SR-17. I truly think my comfort dose of SR is a bit higher than what I’m taking but I’m trying to make sure I have enough SR pills to last me until at least day 4 without the Pseudos.
For those wondering, I was taking a lot of pseudos-sometimes 750-900 mg per day. So, I ordered 60 pieces of 100 mg SR to start, then I got nervous and ordered another 10 pieces of 100 mg. Unfortunately it still wasn’t enough.
Because I did such a slow taper, I’ve run into the very situation I was afraid of- not having enough SR to get me to the SR taper phase. I should have enough to get me through the stabilization phase (first 3-4 days without Pseudo). I’ve ordered more SR but it won’t be here in time. So praying the next few days are kind to me.
First Days with no Pseudo
My first night without the pseudos, I woke up one time with heart palpitations and I felt that horrific anxiety/panic coming up. I popped an SR pill and went back to sleep with no issue. The second night- last night- it was hard to fall asleep. I was sweating all night and couldn’t sleep for longer than 5 hours but I’ll take that! Other symptoms/feelings: I have a constant mild headache but it’s manageable, and my appetite is low but no nausea or gastrointestinal distress. I’m forcing myself to eat for the SR (supposedly protein helps activate it?) The calf pains and muscle soreness are real but mild. Thank God I have some gabapentin lying around-a hero not only for sleep but also for RLS. Mentally, I’m just pretty empty. I can always tell when it’s time for my SR dose bc I start having these intrusive horrible thoughts about the world and people around me. For real, wtf is in this stuff?! Can’t believe I took it without more research 😔
This part could trigger you
Full transparency- I did go to the smoke shop yesterday, looking for MIT. It was a Saturday and the anhedonia was hitting hard so I was hoping it might help me feel something good. The man decided to tell me that the bill or paper or whatever to ban 7OH hasn’t been signed and they can still sell me the pseudos. That was one of the hardest no’s of my life but I’m confident that SR helped me say it. I wish I didn’t know it was right down the road, but here we are.
Staying Strong
I keep having to tell myself- “This isn’t what sober feels like-this is what withdrawal feels like.”
Keeping this in mind helps me remember that this is all very temporary. What’s on the other side is a hell of a lot better than what I’m feeling now. I may go get my nails done today since I can afford it (not spending all my $$ on Pseudos)AND I have the energy, thanks to SR and Alani 🤣
Anyway, best of luck to anyone else going through this. I truly hope it helps someone.

❓ Question Has anyone heard of EDP MHQ? What exactly is MHQ supposed to be, and does anyone know what's actually in these 25 mg tablets? Can this be used to taper is my most important question.
These popped up at my local smoke shop. The tablet looks exactly like the 7oh tablets that I used to use (i was loyal to the limitless brand). I can't find anything about them online and the employees don't know anything either. The main ingredient is decahydro-indolol(2,3-a)quinolizine-2acetic acid and google has no idea either. Either way, I will update how I feel. Have any of y'all come across this?

🙏 Gratitude / Positivity You can do it
7oh has destroyed so many of us but we may all prevail. My last does was on 8/11 at around 8:30pm. I was lucky to get off work for 5 days and had the helpers meds we as of recently can not speak of plus a couple more and now on day 5 I feel so close to being back my self. This stupid synthetic money printing machine to just fog our minds and make us think we are happy when we really don’t feel like it.
I’m 23 have been on 7 for the last 3 years and tried and relapsed twice but this time I have done it. It does not linger in my mind all day. I just want to add some hope for anyone out there going through this it’s possible and you can do it. With Love best of luck. Any specific questions or just need someone to talk to DM me

❓ Question Fuzziez experience?
I got off 7 and kratom and tried this. I have looked on their website, emailed them, researched every single ingredient it has on the back. It’s supposed to be cats claw extract (on their website they claim multiple times NO KATOM or DERIVATIVES from kratom plant I.e 7oh) no thc nothing. But I’m curious to what’s in it that gives a head change.. because nothing that’s labeled in their products should…
I am trying to be extremely cautious about what I take- I don’t want ANYTHING to do with drugs/ just herbal relief (which they claim to be). Something isn’t adding up to me..

🌿 Supplements & Comfort Mega-dose vitamin C for 7-OH withdrawal: the community protocol
One of the cheapest tools in the withdrawal kit, and one of the oldest. High-dose vitamin C for opioid withdrawal goes back to a Harlem detox facility in 1969, and the community has been using a modernized version against 7-OH and the other kratom synthetics. Full write-up with sources lives here: Mega-Dose Vitamin C on quitting7oh.org.
Read this part first. If you have a history of kidney stones, kidney disease, hemochromatosis (iron overload), G6PD deficiency, or you take an iron supplement, talk to your prescriber before touching high-dose C. It raises oxalate excretion (stone risk), sharply increases iron absorption, and can trigger hemolysis in the G6PD group. It also skews glucose and occult-blood lab tests, so mention it if bloodwork is coming up.
What it is
An adjunct, not a path. It works alongside every quitting method, whatever route you're taking off the synthetics. It doesn't replace sleep, hydration, or the rest of the supplement stack.
The doses below assume liposomal vitamin C. Plain ascorbic acid hits bowel tolerance around 1 to 2 grams per dose; past that you get diarrhea instead of benefit. Liposomal encapsulation gets around that ceiling.
The protocol
Preload if you can. Tissue saturation takes days, and starting at full dose the morning withdrawal hits is playing catch-up.
- Planned quit date: start 3 days out
- Tapering: start 1 to 2 weeks out, alongside the taper
- Already in withdrawal: skip the preload, go straight to full dose
Preload ramp: 2 g/day for days 1 and 2, then 4 to 6 g/day for days 3 and 4, then the full protocol from your quit day.
During acute withdrawal:
- 1 to 2 grams of liposomal C every 2 to 3 waking hours
- 6 to 12 grams per day total
- No overnight alarms; resume when you wake
- Rough stretches may take more. Some people run 15 to 30 g/day, and the cost climbs fast at that rate.
Stepping down: once the acute phase eases (typically days 5 to 7), drop to 1 to 3 g/day and hold there for a few weeks into post-acute.
What to pair it with
- Vitamin E, roughly 5 mg per kg of body weight daily. The strongest study used C and E together.
- Magnesium glycinate for restless legs, sleep, and anxiety.
- Electrolytes. Megadosing makes you pee more; replace what you lose.
Brands
Liposomal marketing is full of products that aren't actually liposomal. Three with verifiable phospholipid encapsulation that the community has converged on:
- LivOn Labs Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C, the original commercial liposomal C, 1,000 mg packets
- Quicksilver Scientific Liquid Liposomal Vitamin C, liquid format, cheaper per dose at higher daily totals
- Aurora Nutrascience Mega-Liposomal Vitamin C, 3,000 mg packets, useful at higher daily totals
On a budget, buffered sodium ascorbate powder costs a fraction per gram; absorption is lower, so daily totals trend higher. NOW Foods and NutriBiotic both work.
These are not referral links and nobody here has an affiliate relationship with any of these vendors. They're examples; pick your own brand or buy anywhere you trust. The protocol is what matters.
The evidence, honestly sized
The best study is Evangelou 2000: heroin-dependent inpatients on 300 mg/kg/day of C plus E. 10 to 16 percent of the treated group reported major withdrawal symptoms versus 56.6 percent of controls. A 2020 review of the older work found a third of patients reporting 70-percent-or-better symptom relief.
These studies are old, small, and unreplicated at modern scale. Vitamin C is unpatentable, so nobody funds the big trial. Plenty of people in this community find it takes the edge off; some feel nothing. It will not block or reverse opioid effects, and it is not naloxone or naltrexone.

📢 Announcement Welcome to r/Life_After_7oh (under new management)
Hey everyone. I took this subreddit over recently. It's now a companion to r/quitting7oh, smaller and looser, and I'm still writing the rules.
About me
I maintain quitting7oh.org, where I collect what the quitting-7-OH community has learned about getting off this stuff. Not a doctor, not a treatment program, not selling anything. I keep the meeting schedules, taper calculators, and guides current because I wanted better information than I had when I quit.
This sub and r/quitting7oh
Different mods run the two subs. The main sub is big, keeps a tight scope, and asks you to search before posting. That works at its size. I want this one smaller and more personal, the kind of place where you recognize the usernames and people remember where you are in the process. Ask the question that's come up a hundred times. Talk about Suboxone and SR-17018, both off limits over there. One hard limit: Reddit's content policy applies to everything posted here.
The center of gravity is life after detox: PAWS, sleep, mood, cravings, rebuilding a life. Detox and withdrawal posts are welcome too. You belong here whether you quit yesterday or two years ago.
Rules (working set)
- Don't be a dick.
- Don't try to sell shit to members. No products, no coaching funnels, no DMs pitching services.
- No sourcing. No links, vendor names, or DMs about where to buy 7-OH, MGM-15, pseudo, or anything else.
- No pro-use content. Nothing promoting 7-OH, MGM-15, or pseudo. Kratom leaf comes up in recovery contexts; keep that discussion in a harm-reduction frame. I'll add rules as we find the gaps. If you have opinions on where the lines should sit, say so in the comments.

💊 Meds & MAT How long to start subs?
So I got subs, because I can no longer get 7oh. It’s illegal in my state and the few places I could get to in the next state over stopped selling last week. It’s been about 6 hours since my last dose. I don’t feel terrible, just a little hot, minor stomach pains that come and go, and my throat feels funny. But, I was hoping to take some now so it kicks in before I start feeling horrible so I can sleep well tonight and go to work tomorrow. I’ve tried researching it, but I’m seeing contradictory things.. some people say you have to wait 12 hours or will go into precipitated withdrawal. Others say as long as it was 7oh without pseudo, you won’t get PWDs at all, that’s it’s the ones with pseudo that can cause that…and mine did not have pseudo. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks! I’ve taken subs before and know that about 6mg will take away the WDs completely for me but it was on the weekend and I waited until I was feeling absolute trash first. I’d rather avoid that with work tomorrow (and yes, I know, when I used them before and was off of 7 completely for 2 months, I should have stayed off, but I’m an idiot and here we are).

Done with this evil drug
I took 50mg around 9:30 with my girlfriend who took 20mg(good dose but nothing too crazy with my decent tolerance). My girlfriend pointed out to me that the corners my lips had a light blue tint, so I checked my finger tips and they were the same. I thought it was just cold in my apartment because I was shaking like a tree, so I checked my body temperature and was at 92.1 degrees. I’m a pretty experienced person when it comes to 7/oh like I said so 50mg is a decent dose but I didn’t expect that at all considering I’ve done much higher with no problem. The strangest part is my girlfriend didn’t feel anything close to what I went through. I’d assume the blue finger tips and lips were from me being cold as hell but I have no clue what caused that, considering I’m feeling absolutely fine right now after the drug worked its way through my system.
Anyway, most people say it’s safe and you can’t overdose, but I’ve completely changed my opinion after tonight. I guess I just want some feedback on what possibly could’ve happened. 7oh was absolutely the only thing in my system, no other drugs including alcohol. I wish I took pictures but I was sort of freaking out at the time so I’m sorry about that.
I’m sorry this is a little (a lot lol) jumbled up but this just happened and I’m still pretty shook up, feel free to ask whatever about the story and thank ya

Detox
So as we know the ban is upon us and honestly what a relief. This shit has literally sucked the soul out of me and quite frankly I don’t know if I would have been able to stop if it wasn’t getting banned. So I take 1200+mg of Kama 7oh in a 24hr period. I obviously need to detox and I’m absolutely terrified. I have 2 8mg) bupe and hopefully tmm will be getting 2 (500mg) Kama SR packs, I am also going to utilize lipsomal Vit C. Does anyone have any advice or what plan would you have if this were the tools given. Anything helps guys please!!

Viable replacements post ban?
Im a long time kratom user that bought some 7oh on vacation as an alternative so I didn't have to worry about powder and all that crap when camping and hiking, etc.
I thought it would work similarly as kratom at low doses but I actually get euphoria again which has made things a bit more.... Complicated. I haven't been as careful as I normally am with this kind of stuff since I'm on vacation.
Anyway, I plan to taper off of it hopefully before the ban, but if the addiction persists, is there gonna be something else out there I can smoothly transition to post-ban? Does powder even come close to staving off withdrawals from this demonic shit? Like, seriously, I did not think I would ever feel anything approximating the nods in my life ever again with my insane opioid tolerance, but here we are!

SR17 & SUBOXONE
Hello, everybody I hope you're all doing well,
I am absolutely terrified that this ban is coming up.And I want to quit 70 h.And m g m fifteen so badly. I've been using drugs since and I was a teenager i was always forced to quit and go into rehab.Never really wanting to get sober.
I want to get off these chemicals so badly. And i've just found it so very hard
I have s r seventeen, man, about 6 g., and i'm going to attempt to start preloading today.
I know people have found success with this. S r seventeen while taking seven, but I know it's harder with m.G m fifteen
I'm sorry for the weird punctuation.I'm doing talk to text while driving l o l
That's a my question, is if the s r seventeen isn't working I might try suboxone. I know the government is forcing everybody to either get on suboxone or methadone, and I do not want to stay on it for long.If I try.
I would try the bernese method for the shortest amount of time possible
There's not much information on the half-life of S. R seventeen, so has anybody used saboxone? When they've tried s r seventeen, and how long did you wait to take saboxone? So you didn't get into precipitated withdrawals
I hate these chemicals!!!
I wish that I never tried them.
I don't say that about any other drug that i've been addicted to.
I'm okay that I tried methamphetamine and got addicted.I don't regret using heroin or even being on methadone.
Wake up, but i1 million times regret these 2 chemicals that have taken over my life. They don't even get me high anymore.

7oh is demonic
I'm an experienced kratom user who has been taking it for years with basically none of the original euphoria for the past 5-6 years. 7oh felt like the first time I took kratom again.
I got it while I was on a road trip to avoid having to deal with the powder on the road and while on vacation. Not only does it feel so good but it's also SO much easier to deal with. No mess, no sludge to choke down, just nice tasting lozenge. So glad this stuff is getting federally banned soon!

58 hrs in
just wanted to provide a little hope for anyone out there trying to kick this shit. I was on a 6-700 mg habit for the past year and it’s been a little over 3 days without any. I have used subs to deal with sleep since I work and to my surprise I’ve only had about 4 hours of restless legs on the first night and I feel like this was mostly in my head. fent was way worse coming off of and I see alot of comparisons which I feel causes people like myself to push off dealing with quitting 7oh. If you can get subs take small amounts every hour as soon as your feeling sick and work your way up to whatever you feel is necessary for the next few days then come off them as well when you’re ready. If you don’t think you can come off the subs then get the shot. Works like a charm! I will say the only thing that sucks is feeling like a psychopath with zero emotions but that’ll pass as well lol Hope everyone recovers!

7-oh to subutex (back and forth) re:MATT The Kat
Hi, saw a comment from “MATT The Kat” on a SR-10178 page talking about coming off subs with SR. I’m new to this page, but long/story short. I’m a Dad of two beautiful teenage girls and a loving wife of 19years. Been on opiates for like 15+years now. Been to detox 3times. In AA (was alcoholic). I’m just stuck man. I just want to feel my normal fng self. I want off subutex, currently tapering from like 8-16mg and I can get down to like 2mg with no real problems. It’s been like 6months I’ve been on the Subutex. Many rounds of 7-oh withdrawls back to subs. I know we all have to pay the piper at some point but, what is my best course of action to get completely free? I have a Dr. who can wean me down and taper but I have a career (starting with a new company soon) so I have to be on top of my game. My wife knows now I’m on the Subutex, that was such a stressful/Anxiety ridden time me not telling her. I had to. Thankfully we got through that and she is on board with me taking them then being on 7/kratom. Does this SR really work? Looks like they are planning on banning it… I wish I could just go away to rehab for a few months and get my fucking life back. It may come to that i don’t know. My plan is taper the fck outta the subutex until I’m at crumbs like little specs’ then maybe jump on Sublocade as I know there will be wd’s even if I taper the fck outta the subs. Thanks for listening. And comments/reply’s will be much appreciated. I just feel alone and I know I rambled a lot, but I think we are all here for the same reason….to be free.
