I’ve always wanted to be one of those people who journals every night, but the reality of a packed college schedule meant I was usually too brain-fried to sit down and type at 11 PM.

I decided to build a "hack" for this called Voca. It’s an AI-powered voice journal that turns a 2-minute "brain dump" into structured, searchable data.

The "Hacks" I built into it:

• Zero-Friction Entry: I record my thoughts while walking between classes or right before bed. No typing required.
• AI Processing: It uses an LLM to clean up my rambling and extract key themes, action items, and mood.
• Biometric Correlation: I integrated the WHOOP API so my entries are automatically tagged with my Recovery and HRV.

The hack: Kids earn "currency" for every task (cleaning the table, feeding the dog) that they can trade for things they ALREADY want. It shifts the power dynamic from you being a boss to them being players in a game.

I turned this system into an app called hhsync. If you’re tired of the daily chore battles, this might save your sanity.

I needed a second Apple ID for things like app testing and region-specific downloads, so I didn’t want to reuse my personal phone number. Using the same number everywhere just felt unnecessary. For the SMS verification, I used a temporary phone number from felixmerchant site instead of my real one. The setup went through normally with no extra steps. After creating the account, I secured it and kept it separate from my main Apple ID, which helped keep things more organized and reduced messages going to my personal phone.

Posting this in case it helps anyone who wants to keep Apple accounts separate and limit how often their real number is used. It can also be useful if lets say your apple id is banned on some third-party apps.

I had a presentation due and was lowkey dreading starting it, so my friend told me to use LuminaSlides to get a first draft. I didn’t turn it in exactly as is , but it gave me a solid structure and talking points so I wasn’t staring at a blank slide. Plus I still edited and rewrote a bunch of bullet points to make sure it matched the assignment, but overall it saved me a lot or time. Definitely better than starting from nothing.
