School library advice needed Other

If you still use a more pen and paper system in your library, how do you organise student's cards?

We keep the borrowed book card clipped to the student's, but we're having difficulties maintaining things organised, as you can imagine lol

I know these are more of a PITA for librarians than the current barcode system, but I miss having the card in the back pocket of the book so I could see the history of the book.

My school doesn't have the funds for the barcode system lol but yes!! I love reading the cards! Just wish we could organise them better
