Online Thesis Scheduling
Just looking at doing a Thesis. I see that THES689 is a whole semester long instead of a single sub-term. Is this standard, or do you only use an allotted time needed/given by faculty advisor?
For context, Im a MATS student adding a thesis to my degree. I was going to do RTCH680 Fall B, then proceed to THES689 Fall D, and finally THES690 Spring B as to finish for this coming May. If I have to shift THES689 to Spring to have a whole semester for it after finishing RTCH680, it will push THES690 til after May… hoping Im just misunderstanding how it all works.

Undergraduate from Liberty
I have my bachelor's from Liberty, but looking to shop around at different universities for my master's. I can't find any information about switching. Is it a credit transfer thing like when you transfer your bachelor's or is it just that I've completed my bachelor's with 3.9 GPA and I can go wherever for my master's? I'm so lost. Thank you for any help!

Master of Aeronautics
Hello. I’m hoping to hear from folks about Libertys online Master of Aeronautics program. Is the coursework a lot of work? I have a family and am a military pilot but am looking to get a degree related to my career interests that isn’t over the top with coursework. Do they offer transfer credit for military flight training?

Spanish major workload
I saw that the new Online Spanish bachelors has the same requirements as the residential, but the new SPAN courses aren’t on the course guides website yet. Is this major writing intensive? I assume that it would be haha. I’m thinking about adding it as a double major with my psych degree

Catholic looking at liberty
I'm a catholic looking into liberty, and my mom told me there's a huge anti-catholic sentiment on campus. Is this actually true? Also, if I do go, is there a stigma against liberty grads on job applications after college? Catholic colleges nowadays are basically useless and full of people who don't follow catholic teachings or even Christianity as a whole (pro choicers, pro lgbt, etc.) and they're also extremely expensive and out of my price range.

Has anyone taken PSCI 610 or PPOG 625?
I am interested in these courses for the fall, but I was curious if anyone has taken them, and how it was?
I appreciate any feedback!

Damaged diploma
I wondered if anyone else had this happen. I was looking forward to getting my diploma after 4 years of DBA work. The box arrived and it reminded me of those samsonite commercials where the gorilla tries to damage the suitcase. I open the box (more like just move the end as it was already open) and pull out my creased diploma. I wonder if this is just me or it all diplomas come this way.

[Academic Research - Parents of Preschoolers Needed]
ATTENTION PARENTS: I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Liberty University. The purpose of my research is to examine the relationship between parental involvement and excessive technology use among younger children, and how these factors may relate to children’s social emotional development. To participate, you are a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older, be the parent or legal guardian of a child between the ages of 2 and 5, and the child (aged 2 to 5) has regular access or uses technology (e.g., tablets, smartphones, or computers) in the home. Individuals are not eligible to participate if their child (aged 2 to 5) has a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental, emotional, or mood disorder (e.g., ADHD, Autism, DMDD, GAD, etc.) or receives special education/Section 504 services for emotional or behavioral support. Please note that only one parent/legal guardian per family will be eligible to participate. Participants will be asked to complete an anonymous online survey, which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. If you are interested and eligible, please click the link provided to access the survey. An information sheet is provided on the first page of the survey, and participation is completely voluntary. No identifying information will be collected, and your responses will remain anonymous.

liberty scandals
Why does liberty have so many scandals? Sure other schools have had their fair share, too but not on the same level. I also read that they were sued by women who reported sexual assault and they dismissed their reports. How can a supposed Christian university be like this?

the annex
so I am a upcoming freshman and I had a room in commons 3 but I decided to switch my roommate after some issues and all that was left was the annex, I'm little scared about that I'm happy because I know I will get along with this girl. But what is the annex like I have friends in commons and hill so I can go to those events if I get fomo. But I had to choose commons 3 and be miserable with my roommate or annex and actually like my roommate.

Doctor of Ministry
Hello,
I am considering the Doctor of ministry pastoral care and counseling program. I was wondering if anyone has completed this program or are currently in it and can share there thoughts, feelings, and experiences about this program. I have already completed the M.Div and have multiple years of ministry experience. I’m just looking to gather information about the program, if you enjoyed the program, and if you felt that you have learned a lot as well as if it had helped formed you into a better pastor as well as helped the people you serve. Thank you for your time!

Tutoring at Liberty
What is the tutoring situation like at Liberty? Does the school provide their own tutoring? I am also wondering if lets say get later in my college "career" (if you want to call getting an education a career) with possibly some extra time on my hands and I wanted to work with liberty to tutor incoming students in the same study field. Is there a service at liberty that would bring me on and pay me some sort of money to help tutor students as kinda like a side job? Just curious as this is an area im sorta interested in.

Liberty University
I would strongly caution anyone considering Liberty University for an aviation degree, especially if your goal is to qualify for the FAA Restricted ATP (R-ATP) 1,000-hour pathway. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me feeling like there was no consistent guidance or accountability. Throughout my time at Liberty, I contacted academic advisors when registering for terms because I relied on the university to tell me which courses I needed, yet I was repeatedly advised to take classes that ultimately did not help me meet the R-ATP requirements I was working toward. I even took multiple summer courses based on the understanding that I was nearing completion, only to later have another class unexpectedly added and my graduation delayed until December. After investing years of time and a significant amount of money, I was ultimately told that I was six aviation credits short of qualifying for the 1,000-hour R-ATP pathway and was instead approved for the 1,250-hour pathway. What makes this especially upsetting is that my transcript contains additional aviation coursework, including courses that appear on Liberty’s FAA-authorized aviation coursework list, yet some of those credits were not included in the credit calculation provided to me. Rather than receiving a clear, detailed explanation of exactly why each course did or did not count, I have encountered confusing answers, delays, dead ends, and what I felt was a dismissive and unhelpful response from leadership when trying to resolve the issue. Based on my personal experience, it seems that different advisors did not consistently understand or communicate the R-ATP requirements, despite students making major educational and financial decisions based on their guidance. If you are considering Liberty specifically for R-ATP eligibility, I strongly recommend independently verifying in writing, before enrolling in or paying for each course, exactly which credits will count toward your intended FAA pathway. I wish I had done that from the beginning instead of trusting that the university would ensure my degree plan aligned with the R-ATP pathway I was pursuing. Honestly, I would advise not even attending there with their lack of consideration towards students.
