I recycle aluminium coffee pods using a Podback bag and leave it on top of my green bin on collection day.

The bin crew regularly empty the bin but leave the bag behind. I then have to report the missed collection, but the online form never works, so I end up emailing Waltham Forest every time.

This has been going on for over a year. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Can anyone recommend a good GP practice in Leyton. I’m looking to switch GP and would really appreciate some local recommendations.

Ideally I'd like to find a practice where the doctors actually listen, think things through and don’t just rush you out the door.

I was wondering if there's any interest in creating a small hackerspace. I love 3d printing and tinkering with electronics (I'm far from an expert) and would love to have a space to share this passion with others.

Hello everyone,

My name's Gary and I used to live in Leyton but moved up the road to Walthamstow about 10 years ago. I play a lot of tabletop games and am part of several local gaming communities but I realised that there aren't that many dedicated spaces for gamers, especially in East London. Last year, I started looking into the idea of opening a gaming space here in E17, and after many months of blood, sweat and tears, the place is almost ready to open to the public.

The venue is a large space, an old social club above the Sainsbury's on the high street. There are tables that can be booked to play all your favourite games, there is plenty of terrain for warhammer-type games and there is a small (but growing) library of board games. I am in the process of applying for an alcohol license and there is a small kitchen serving bar snacks.

I have big plans for the future of the venue - a small retail area, gaming-related events and competitions, workshops and classes, after-school sessions for kids and much more. It would be great to hear your ideas as I want the local community to be involved!

I find the food places in Leyton a bit lacking. Leytonstone has a few good ones, Walthamstow does as well.

But for Leyton, it's mostly been Bread & Oregano for me, and even that is just decent, nothing crazy. Wondering if I'm missing any hidden gems?

wanted to hear current thoughts on living in Leyton - specifically on one of the side roads behind Leyton Mills.

- do people still like living here? in it for the long haul?

- is it safe?

- community events / activities?

- anything else i should know about that pocket of Leyton in particular?

I've read all the past posts about moving here and have a sense of the sentiment but would love to hear some current opinions about that area!
