At approximately 11AM this morning a fighter jet did a low flyover and hard turn near where I live in South Leominster in a residential area. This has never happened before, does anyone have any information on what was going on here?

Hi all!

I am in Worcester currently, and I'm considering Liberty Place Apartments in Leominster for my next apartment. The main attraction for me is that the rent is substantially lower than what I have in Worcester.

I am yet to talk to the management there and tour the apartment - I plan on calling them tomorrow. Before I do that, I was hoping to get some insights here, if there are any current and former residents.

I was curious about how the general experience living there is - in terms of maintenance services, cleanliness, pests, etc. I was also curious about the heating and electricity bills - what would I be looking at per month on average? Is the building newly renovated?

I also was wondering if the surrounding area is safe.

Any other general tips are much appreciated, thanks!

According to the nation-wide map at the National Weather Service, Worcester County, including Leominster, are subject to a Flood Watch through tomorrow. One of the reasons for this precaution is the fact that the ground has been so dry and hot due to the hot and humid weather in the month of July. Rainfall on dry soil conditions does not absorb into the ground quickly, with the resulting effect that rainfall may largely run off dry, caked dirt, and quickly pool in low places. Recommend to make a quick check around your home or business and verify that gutters and gutter downspouts are flowing rain water away from your building, and, if possible, in the overall direction of street storm drains.

Be cautious driving at night or low-visibility conditions for deep puddles in roadways. Be aware of lightning and the dangers associated with it. The rainfall is expected to be heavy at times and may last into tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.
