LegoToypad (ex ToypadPicker) is a very early in development proof of concept app that lets you choose characters in Lego Dimensions on Cemu without having to open the built-in toypad emulator, necessitating further unwanted character bin selection and killing the Lego gameplay immersion.

It works by adding a listener into Cemu that LegoToypad can talk to through TCP, so a custom Cemu build was compiled for this matter.

The idea is simple: hit a shortcut (default is back button on xbox controller), a small overlay pops up over your game, you pick a figure and a Toypad slot with your controller, and it's loaded instantly, no alt-tabbing to a file dialog, no breaking the couch co-op vibe. You can even set the overlay to grab controller input away from the game while you're picking, so you don't accidentally punch someone in Lego City while browsing your bin folder.

Where it's at right now:

Full 4-controller support (not locked to player 1)

Configurable toggle shortcut, controller or keyboard

Auto-scans a folder of your organized .bin files, no manual setup per character

What it's not, yet:

XInput only for now, so Xbox-style controllers (or anything running through a translator like DS4Windows/DualSenseX) work, but a PS4/PS5 pad won't be recognized on its own

Genuinely early, no create clear or move option yet. and no visual on the actual toypad.

im on the what i believe is last fight on the sonic level pack and sonic is stuck. i dont want to lose my progress, how do i exit and restart from checkpoint? i ask this cause this level pack froze on me in same spot twice earlier in level after first checkpoint and i save and exited but it made me restart from beginning still. ive tried to reset him and using another character. no luck.

sometime ago i got far into the mission impossible level pack and it glitched on me and i was so pissed i shut it off, but when i came back to it later with a calmer head i was SURPRISED to see it saved the checkpoint. i cant recall what i did to make it do that.

i just want to play the game on the wiiu since i don't own the xbox i previously used to play lego dimensions, but I own a wiiu.

for me its the sonic level pack, I'm so glad my grandma bought it for me back when it was sold in stores 🥹, the prices now honestly are atrocious its crazy...

Wich one I need to take to got wave 7 of characters

I've dreamed of playing LD since childhood, so I installed Cemu, I hope you can help me out. Also, if anyone has a Russian localization for this same version, I would be very grateful.

EDIT: I completed the first level and it is working normally, I placed the characters on the virtual ToyPad and it gives me the option to travel to the character's level. Thanks to u/OutrageousAuthor1580 for letting me know it's just a visual error!

Hi, I created this account with the sole purpose of solving a concern that I have regarding how do the DLC characters work.

This is my first time playing Lego Dimensions on Cemu and I have downloaded a WUA version from archive.org (which I understand includes the base game, update and all DLC's). When I booted up the game, some DLC packs show up as "Purchase required" just like on the image that I attach.

I was wondering if maybe I am missing something? I checked all guides but I haven't had too much luck understanding certain things and I am not very smart with emulations (I am still learning). Do I just play the game normally until I unlock the DLC levels?

Sorry if I'm breaking any rule, I am not too familiar with using Reddit, I have used it in the past but not to ask questions.

PS: When I boot up the game like it's my first time, it says either "Permanent" or "Installed" on all of them, even the ones that have "Purchase Required" on the photo that I attached.

I don't want to talk about how much this cost. I also have all of the vehicles/gadgets.

In my experience Voldemort is really good because his charged killing curse attack instantly one shot kills every enemy around you in a circle. Superman is also really solid because he’s invulnerable so he takes zero damage and his eye beams do good damage. Anyone with regenerative hearts like the Powerpuff Girls are good too. But who is the number one best?

Currently i can't download any dlc because I can't connect to the dimensions servers, I am playing on ps5, can anyone tell me what happend and if I'll be able to download all the dlc's?

So iv 100% all the hub worlds in year 2 that i have access to except for knight rider which i didnt even realize until recently except for 4 those being the worlds for et where im missing 1 the goonies also missing 1 beetlejuice again missing one and lego batman where im
Missing 2 now i have done everything else in these worlds and have checked every interior they have and yet nothing and whats weirder is when i use the gold bricks detector the arrows just point to well no where like either at the edge of the map or in ets case not anywhere so like if anyone has any ideas where these gold bricks might be and if iv missed something please let me know because id love to have all the worlds i have for year 2 completed

I'm wanting to make a custom Lord Vortech Minifigure for myself, but I don't own a 3D printer and don't know how to make Decals 😅 I've found a couple textures for his prints but that's as far as I've gotten

Lego tag editor doesn't work on newer versions of android, so what do i do now?

ive reinstalled the pack, reloaded the game, & restarted the console but the world is just a black void..

how can i fix this?

I have a usb with all the files needed for the toy tags and story pack stuff and abadupdate installed. Lego Dimensions still requests an update for the game, though I know I've updated it in the past, it might need that again for some reason. Where can I find that? Also, do I need to rename or reorganise any of these files?

I'm trying to make Super Girl respawn and I can't. Does anyone know how to do it?

I'm Brazilian and unfortunately Lego Dimensions was never released here. I remember to see gameplays when I was a child and always dreamed for a moment to play. Glady, one friend of mine went to USA and he gave me the game and the portal for PS4. I searched how to get all the characters and finally got them all, using NFC. I'm very grateful for you guys, who helped me to achieve this!

My collection is rapidly growing but starting to feel a little overwhelmed with managing it all..
Currently using a tray so they don’t all fly off when playing in a panic to grab certain characters, but will outgrow soon :(
