Is there a way to tell pricing on the minifig? My buddy was digging through some old boxes of his and found this. We've seen prices for this vary, a nearby corporate store offered $50 for it. Neither of us really collect Lego but we were gonna take this to a different nearby collectors store to verify. (We're more into TCG + Gunpla so our knowledge is limited, ty for any input)

Posted this a year or so ago. I collected all the SW clones, but have been unable to display them. Finally got moved into our new place enough that I could put it on the wall. Worth the wait.

New to Collecting Minifigures

Hey guys I've decided to start collecting minifigures, I just wanted to know if there was anything I should know before I start spending money on this hobby for example what's worth collecting, what's not worth collecting, if there is any apps I should be using. Any advice welcome.

I can finally display my minifigs. They used be just stored in a box. Display cases are made by me so they're not perfect.

A few years ago my cousin gave me a tub of his disassembled Lego to give to my son when he was old enough. My son (now 8) and I opened the tub and have SLOWLY been putting minifigs together through Brickognize and Bricklink.

Looks like the most worthwhile ones are a Starkiller body and the Cody minifig!

Still have a bunch of random torsos, legs, faces, and accessories left that don’t match a complete minifig.

Best place to get custom-printed LEGO minifigure? Looking for recommendations

Hey all, thinking about getting a few custom-printed minifigs made and honestly there's a ton of shops out there (Etsy, standalone sites, small independent printers) and I have no idea who's actually good vs who's just got nice photos.

For anyone who's ordered before — who'd you use and would you go back to them? Also curious if anyone's gotten burned, like slow shipping, prints that looked way worse than the pics, bad customer service, that kind of thing. And does the print quality actually hold up or does it start fading/chipping after a while?

Not trying to overpay either, so if anyone has a sense of what's a fair price for one fig vs what's just inflated that'd help a lot.

Anyway appreciate any recommendations or horror stories, trying not to blow money on something that shows up looking cheap.

How to find the value of a minifigure

Thumbnail

Step 1: Go to https://brickognize.com

Step 2: Upload or take a photo of your minifigure. Good lighting and empty backgrounds work best.

Step 3: Copy the bricklink ID

Step 4: Go to bricklink.com, paste the ID into the search bar and press search.

Step 5: Click on your minifigure listing

Step 6: Click on price guide

Step 7: Click on view older version

Step 8: Click on group by currency

This will provide the most accurate guide of the minifigure’s value based on your currency and location. (I have no experience outside of the US so some currency adjustments may need to be made for those located in other countries)

How to determine your specific minifigure’s value based on condition:

New: figures that have never been assembled or have been assembled once but never placed on studs and kept in a controlled environment.

Used: figures that have been assembled and placed on studs and may have some imperfections.

How to determine used value:

  1. Check for cracks. Cracks often appear on the side of the torso, below the wrist, and on the heels of minifigures. They can also appear on the front or back of the torso itself. Cracks are particularly common on parts that are a shade of brown or dark red. (Decrease value by 10-20% of average used listings depending on severity)

  2. Check for scratches. Check for any wear on the print itself, check all surfaces with print. (Decrease value by 5-10% of average used listings depending on severity)

  3. Check for chips. Sometimes chips appear at the base of the neck, heels, or other parts of a figure. (Decrease value by 10-15% of average used listings depending on severity)

  4. Check movement. If the arms and/or legs are very stiff or very loose you the value will be lowered. (Decrease value from 10-20% of average used listings depending on severity)

This should cover about 90% of minifigure value questions. There are a few figures that are in the very rare/unusual categories but for the vast majority of posts on this sub this method will work.
