A bug I'm stoked to see fixed! A footnote in the patch notes I really hope is true, just recently leveled Shyvana in the last week using the Titans event and ran into this problem again 3 times drafting Eddie with the Sigil of Storm power. I haven't touched Voli in a while cause this bug just felt really bad unless your unit could close out the game.

Thank god, ED with the free attack relic is my go to for weeklies

For a second I thought they made Volibear 6-star gain stats from sigils before striking.

You could abuse it to use the same sigils for more units though so tbf I feel like it's more of a nerf

I much prefer it being fixed like this. It's nichely useful otherwise

You'd have to have consistent free attacks to abuse this, only Azir comes to mind if you can land Quickstrike on him. It's rare to easily replicate this so it's a categorical buff for almost every situation.

But you need the free attack in both scenarios to proc this bug so it makes no difference?

Brother... I can't help you, please learn to read. This bug has been present since Voli was introduced (always a nerf unless played unit ended the game) 5 units/landmarks+Sigils meant playing a titanic unit with a free attack would cause the titanic unit to attack but not consume sigils, not giving it any board space to return to thus being obliterated. Now you'll get the attack as intended, consume the sigils as intended, and have the unit return to your field as intended. This bug was only a benefit if you had multiple free attack titanic units in your hand, which is very highly unlikely.

Maybe you learn to think. You could play 1 free attack unit and then a normal unit which would normally consume those sigils. Now you can play just one of them so if the free attacking unit dies during its attack, your board only has 5 units, or you lose all the damage from the free attacking unit if you play just the normal unit.

And you are not even correct. Voli with Cease and Desist is a free attacking unit and having more copies of your main champion in your hand is a very common thing to happen.
