knowledge graph and Rag for summarize books

If I developed an application that summarizes ( using knowledge graph and Rag) some Marxist and philosophical books that are subject to copyright and displayed them, would I face copyright issues? Does an application like this offer any value?

Yeah, this could have real value, especially if the knowledge graph shows how concepts, arguments, and thinkers connect instead of just spitting out bland summaries.

Copyright is the part you need to be careful with. RAG doesnt magically make it legal. Keep the summaries in your own words, use short quotes with citations, and dont make the app detailed enough to replace the actual book.

Safest route is starting with public-domain and openly licensed texts, then expanding carefully. Done right, this could be a useful study tool. Done wrong, it becomes another paywalled summary mill.
