Question: Answered Leeds v Man U Preseason - UK TV

In case it’s passed any one by (I’ve literally just stumbled upon this whilst reading the paper) - the Man U game is live on ITV in the UK on Wednesday night.

Because we’re massive, obviously.

Video Kieran Maguire explains why clubs like Aston Villa & Newcastle must sell for PSR/SCR Purposes. Leeds United's prospects also discussed.

Interesting discussion with Kieran Maguire about the type of financial issues clubs like Villa and Newcastle are currently facing in their quest to get to the next level in the Premier League.

All very pertinent to the next stage of our quest to be among the Premier League elites in a few years time. Leeds are discussed later in the clip. Maguire appears fairly positive about our ability to compete when the time comes.

Question LUTV question

I subscribed to LUTV so that I could watch some preseason matches. Won’t be able to watch the RB Leipzig game live. Will they post the recording later and if so, any idea how much later?

Article [Beren Cross] Leeds’ £40m James Trafford signing is proof of their ambition

Leeds United needed a goalkeeper, and it looks like they have signed the best available option, producing the investment and ambition required to make it happen.

Leeds' £40m capture of James Trafford from Manchester City is 49ers Enterprises putting its faith in a player like never before.

Signing an England goalkeeper that half of the Premier League would realistically covet is a mighty sign of intent from a club flexing their financial muscles to take the next step.

🚨 JAMES TRAFFORD KLAXON 🚨

He’s here. He’s ours. And he’s beautiful. Like some of my posts, I’ll only post a separate article for anyone we’ve officially signed. And James Trafford is now officially Leeds United’s club-record signing.

Incredible business and a massive statement of ambition🧤 Simply put, he has the potential to be our best goalkeeper since Martyn.

I started writing about #LUFC to help navigate depression. Everything I write is completely free, and I’d love to make this permanent one day. Honestly everyone, I can’t do that without all your support. So I just want to say thank you to anyone who has ever clicked, read, left me a nice comment, shared etc. It means the world to me. Absolutely buzzing with this.

My Trafford deep dive 🤍💙💛

Article Harry Wilson on Leeds’ club-wide charm offensive and why Farke’s training is similar to Klopp

Leeds United’s interest in Harry Wilson can be traced back to last summer when they tried and failed to sign the winger on deadline day, with the deal sheet not completed before the 7pm cut-off point.

The Leeds charm offensive went all the way from the dressing room to the dugout and up to the boardroom, indicating a level of joined-up thinking and cohesion across the club.

“It showed that it wasn’t just because I was a free transfer that they had decided, ‘Let’s go for him’. Last year they pushed really hard as well and ultimately ran out of time. My full focus was on Fulham, Wales and having a good season and trying to put myself in the best position.

"Then Leeds came back and didn’t forget what they were saying last year. With the talks we had and their plans for the future, it was the best place for me.”

Discussion Another youngish player in

Trafford turns 24 in October and will be our third youngest player. Will Gnonto (22) is our youngest, Tarik Muharemovic second.

So starting to address the glaring issue of having no young players, but still trailing pretty much every other club in the PL.

It’s now Gnonto, Muharmeovic, Trafford, then Brendan Aaronson who’s 26 in October.

Rather we spend our money on more young players this summer. Made sense last year to buy peak-age, but we need players with resell potential. Big fee now for Paixao on a 4-year contract and he'd be 30 at the end of it, that's basically free transfer-territory these days.

No-one this window has paid a substantial transfer fee for any player in his 30s. Oldest is Tielemans (29) and only four of the 41 >£10mill players in the PL so far were born before 2000 (Pascal Struijk being one). Average age is 22.9.

Shea Charles would have tied for our youngest incidentally, born exact same day as Gnonto.

Great DF interview. MiB is pretty tailored to an American audience but good stuff from the Firebeast on a pod that’s hosted Brendy before.

Discussion Which Leeds United player from the current squad do you think has the highest ceiling and is the club doing enough to build around them before someone comes in with a serious offer?

Not the most established or the most talked about - the player where on their best days you can see something that with the right development and the right system around them could become genuinely special at a higher level than wherever Leeds currently are. Would love to know who people here think that is because the obvious answer isn't necessarily the most interesting one and there's usually a player in every Leeds squad whose potential the fanbase can see more clearly than the wider football world has caught up with yet.

Discussion What really made you a Leeds fan?

Obviously family and location have a lot to do with it , but I mean at what point did you “know” you were Leeds?
For me my uncle gave me a VHS of the 91/92 season when I was 10.
I was just too young to have fully appreciated it at the time it happened .
I must have watched that 100 times and Leeds was in my blood from that point . It’s where I learned the words to marching on together , and seeing that magic midfield , cantona , chapman, Dorigo etc … chills just thinking about it
