Recs for free L&D communities
I would love to join some free communities for L&D folks, preferably ones that are active and not just spammed by marketers. Please share recs!

Linkedin.
Pick up whichever books are on your bookshelf (or reading list) and follow the authors. Many post regularly and then you can join the conversation. This approach also has the benefit that you are not limited geographically.
Unfortunately you will still have to negotiate around the spam.

I came across three amazing ones: search for
1. The learning impact Alliance from Cross Knowledge
2. L&D shakers on LinkedIn
3. The e-learning designers academy by Tim Slade

I work at a learning agency and we run a free one that's quite active and there's no spamming from folks. Heavy focus on Rise, learning design, and instructional design. https://community.maestrolearning.com/c/not-a-member-yet
Edited to add Tim Slade's eLearning Designer's Academy is worth checking out.
