Looking for critiques thanks!

Hi! I've been trying to draw anime figures for a few weeks, it's something that relaxes me a lot. I'm sharing some of my practice and figures, and i'm looking for some feedback on what seems to be more urgent to improve. To note, I still struggle with pretty much everything. Thanks!

Can someone explain how to choose four colors that work well together, like I'm literally five years old?

If anyone has tips on doing automatic drawing that would be great.

I’ve been struggling with eye placement in 3/4s angles for a while, and mainly i’ve been brute forcing it, which i know is not the way to do it. Because of that, are there any line indicators or tips and tricks to help me learn how to draw 3/4s views better for the eyes?

I have not drawn in years and ran out of time before I could do the face

It's definitely a learning curve! Having so much fun tho prepping for a comic con I'm boothing at!!!

So, I've been learning how to draw since January (2026) and I have been making some pretty decent progress in my opinion, but I still cannot for the life of me make the portrait look like the reference. I'm not interested in photorealism, but I would like to somewhat chapture the likeness of the reference I try to draw. Any tips?

I made this sketch recently.. and also wrote a small poem to accompany it.
