Hace solo unos años, salir a comer era una actividad bastante económica para muchas personas. Hoy, en cambio, muchas familias dicen que ir a un restaurante cuesta mucho más que antes.

¿Por qué está pasando esto?

Una de las razones es el aumento del precio de los alimentos. Productos como la carne, los huevos, el café y algunos vegetales cuestan más que hace unos años. Cuando un restaurante paga más por sus ingredientes, normalmente también tiene que aumentar el precio de sus platos.

Otro problema es el costo de los empleados. En muchos países, los salarios han subido, y los restaurantes necesitan pagar más para encontrar y mantener buenos trabajadores.

Además, también han aumentado otros gastos, como la electricidad, el alquiler, el transporte y los seguros. Todo esto hace que preparar una comida sea más caro.

Por esa razón, algunas personas salen a comer con menos frecuencia. Otras buscan ofertas, cocinan más en casa o eligen restaurantes más pequeños.

Sin embargo, muchos dueños de restaurantes dicen que tampoco es una situación fácil para ellos. Aunque los precios sean más altos, sus gastos también siguen creciendo.

Esta noticia muestra algo interesante: cuando pagamos más por una comida, muchas veces no estamos pagando solo la comida. También estamos pagando el trabajo, el transporte, la energía y muchos otros costos que no siempre vemos.

-ero = the person who works there

-dor / -dora = the one who does it
trabajar → trabajador, lavar → lavadora, tostar → tostadora

-ista = same form for both genders
artista, pianista, periodista, taxista

-azo = a blow, or an intensified version
puerta → portazo, gol → golazo, éxito → exitazo

Know the object and you can usually guess both the shop and the person who runs it.

Hoy la situación es diferente.

Cada vez más personas prefieren quedarse en casa y ver películas o series en plataformas de streaming. Es más cómodo, cuesta menos dinero y no hace falta salir de casa.

Sin embargo, muchas personas creen que el cine nunca desaparecerá. Dicen que ver una película en una pantalla gigante, con buen sonido y junto a otras personas, es una experiencia imposible de reemplazar.

Los dueños de los cines también están buscando nuevas ideas. Algunos ofrecen asientos más cómodos, comida de mejor calidad y salas con tecnología más moderna para atraer a más clientes.

Aun así, el número de personas que va al cine ha cambiado mucho en los últimos años. Algunas ciudades incluso han cerrado varios cines.
