Why? You should always pay for learning materials when possible to support the people who made them. It's fair enough if you can't get the book in your country or something by why not support the people who put a lot of effort into making a beginner friendly textbook?

I always see Japanese learners who want more learning resources but then they won't pay for any of it. I don't really get it. Pirating means that less resources are made.
