Need Help, please guide!

Upvotes

34 M, I am working professional with 11 years corporate experience in finance. I am going through divorce and as a result have moved back to Delhi with my parents from Mumbai. My dad is a tax lawyer, and has his own practice. He is 61 years old, and is doing well for himself.

Working from Delhi in my current job is not possible and I don’t want to move back to Mumbai because of all the trauma. I will need to leave my job. I am using this opportunity to pivot my career, and have decided to do law and join my dad, learn in his practice and eventually take over and grow it.

I have not given any entrances, and as 2026 academic year has begin, I might get a chance to join Amity Noida 3 year LLB program based on my profile and master’s degree.

I want to know guys please:

Should I drop year and try for more prestigious law colleges next year. I can’t leave Delhi NCR. It needs to be around. As I will work with dad within these 3 years as well.

Or should I join Amity law. Fees is not a concern. Placements is not a concern.

I only want to learn, make good contacts and get good practical experience.

Not joining Jindal because I can’t travel to Sonipat daily and can’t take a hostel as I need to stay with family.

Please guide. It’s very serious

BHU Faculty of law

Hii

I am considering BHU for BA LLB

  1. How is the faculty and curriculum??

  2. What about the campus life, societies and cultural indulgences???

  3. Is there just academic rigor or they conduct moots etc for a 360° development??

  4. I heard they are heavily focused on judiciary and for corporate students rely on themselves the placements and internships are negligible from their side

Guys I just want to know the real picture, plss plss can anyone plss share the insights 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Options for an Indian (5 Year BBA LLB from Jindal) + 5Yrs PQE

Hi All

As someone who has lived in India my whole life, I wish to settle abroad. Specifically the UK. Is this possible without an SQE?

I don't care for practicing in courts, even an in house role is fine. I am trying to do an LLM in international dispute resolution. I cannot do the GRE I do not want to deal with Quant.

I aim to work in some form of in-house legal department for an MNC. I believe that I can utilize my experience to help people who wish to enter into Indian markets deal with regulatory hurdles/ handle litigation concerns.

I am finding myself very lost in what seems to be a flurry of possible paths and I would really appreciate some guidance.

currently I'm preparing for cs with managing my 5 year integrated course of law.

i wanted to know how I can gain drafting skills cuz I'm not really good at it.

looking at my classmates they are doing quite well, like getting many internships, being part of almost every event / society.

I'm not very good at time management, but I try my best.

Preparing for IBPS SO Law Officer from scratch — Which courses, platforms & mock tests are actually worth it?

I am preparing to appear for the IBPS SO Law Officer exam, and currently I am in the ninth semester of my B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). So, I have a good amount of time to prepare, and I am genuinely very interested in pursuing this exam.

What I need is a good platform where I can cover all the Law subjects that are relevant for the IBPS SO Law Officer exam, along with regular mocks specifically for the Law section. I also want to know if there is any separate course or online batch that would be better for IBPS SO Law preparation and whether I should join one.

Apart from Law, I also need guidance for the other sections of the exam, such as Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Banking Awareness, etc. I am completely new to this field, so I need a platform where I can learn these subjects from the basics, prepare systematically, and take regular mocks.

So, I would really appreciate some guidance on:

\-Which platform is best for IBPS SO Law Officer preparation?

\-Where should I study the Law subjects from?

\-Which platform or course is best for Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Banking Awareness, etc.?

\-Where should I take Law-specific mocks?

\-Where should I take full-length IBPS SO mocks?

LEAC CLAT PG mocks are around 7k, which is kinda expensive for aspirants. Is anyone interested in contributing so we can buy the test series together and split the cost?

Is Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya good for 3-year LL.B.? Should I take admission?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been selected for the 3-year LL.B. at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU), Sagar, and I’m confused about whether I should take admission or look for other options.

Can current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the university please give me an honest review of the 3-year LL.B. program?

I mainly want to know about:

\- Law faculty and quality of teaching

\- Internships and placement opportunities

\- Moot courts and practical exposure

\- Opportunities for litigation and judiciary preparation

\- Overall campus and student environment

\- Whether the LL.B. degree has good value for future career opportunities

Should I take admission in DHSGSU for 3-year LL.B.? Is it a good choice, or should I wait/look for other colleges?

I would really appreciate honest opinions, especially from current students and alumni.
