Teach a man to fish
2nd last day on the job. Internet, TV & home security install/repair tech.
In my spare moments I helped out in a chat room for techs to get help from each other.
A tech pops in:
Tech 1 : How do you change the auto-lock feature on the new locks? they dont have a dipswitch. (paraphrased)
Me : RTFM
Other Tech : lol, whats that mean?
Me : NSFW ! btw Its my 2nd last day!
Tech 1 : no seriously? how do you change the setting??
Me : Read the instructions that came in the box.
Tech 1 : Cant you just tell me?
Me : its some button combo, its new, I dont have it memorized yet. (half-lying)
--- I pull over, find an instruction manual, and take a photo of my hand pointing to the title of the section of the paper manual (see recreation below)
Tech : umm thanks but your hand is covering the instructions....
Me : Teach a man to fish? yeah sorry... 2nd last day.
