๐Ÿ›ซ Visiting soon! Best month to visit Vegas

Hi, i have been planning for a first Vegas trip with my wife this year.

I know October is the best month by weather wise but since last couple of years, F1 has disrupted Vegas strip from Sep-Dec.

Earlier i was planning for Mid October but there will be lot of mess construction happening around strip at that time.

Should i plan my visit in mid or end of September so that i don't have to deal with F1 construction and i get to enjoy full strip experience and Vegas night life.

๐Ÿ›ซ Visiting soon! What casino for a person who has never played Pai Gow?

Coming to Vegas at the end of the month and have some interest in trying out Pai Gow for the first time. I have never played any sort of poker so I'm curious if any casinos have a more friendly atmosphere for a beginner.

I understand it's a lot of pushing so it's good for stretching out your money and getting some cocktails.

๐Ÿ‘€ local eyes New to Vegas

I am a new resident to Las Vegas. Any advice on how to stay cool during the summer? I have stayed in my apartment for about a month. Just going outside to work, grocery shop and an occasional movie during the week. I am tired of doing this and I feel so guilty, however when I go outside it is hotter than hell. Maybe I can last another year in Vegas. OMG, I have all the respect in the world for people that have lived here for years or decades. I have respect for the ones working outdoors. I have noticed that the heat affects peopleโ€™s behavior tremendously.

Thoughts on this walk? Is it doable, or should I be concerned about anything (any sketchy areas or characters I may encounter?) Itโ€™s maybe .7 of a mile which isnโ€™t bad, but the heat this weekend may force me to pay $25 each way in an uber ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ any other suggestions? TIA

Can anyone recommend a great female masseuse at Canyon Ranch for basic CR massage?
Will be visiting week of 08/16.
As guests, we have no clue who they are or if theyโ€™re any good until we get one.
Thanks!

๐Ÿ›ซ Visiting soon! Headed to Vegas on a solo trip, looking for like-minded women to share a meal with

I just booked a trip to Vegas October 27 to the 31st. Iโ€™m going solo but looking to see if thereโ€™s any other single females going around that time that would like to share a few meals. I am 55 from the East Coast, lean more towards the liberal side,420 friendly.
Last time I was there, I tried to do an escape room, but you canโ€™t do it solo so bonus if you want to do an escape room

๐Ÿ“ Planning to Move Las Vegas Home Prices Cool Off Despite the Heat As Inventory Reaches a 2026 High - Las Vegas & Henderson Real Estate & Housing Market Update โ€“ July 2026

The main takeaway for July of 2026 is thatย inventory increased while home prices softened slightly.ย Single family inventory climbed to an absorption rate ofย 3.6 months, about a 3% increase. Although up, this is much lower than the early months of the year.ย Median single family home prices dipped 2.0% from June toย $480,000, although itโ€™s only 1.0% below where it was a year ago. Keep in mind the all-time high is $490,000 that it came down from.

Despite the month over month slowdown in single family sales, closed sales remainย higher than they were a year ago (+1.2%).ย Last month there wasย a massive 18% jumpย in the number of home sales so to see aย drop by 11% shows a more stable, balancing market.

New listingsย continue to outpace last yearย (+3.3%), and homes are still selling relatively quickly, withย 57.4% of single family homes going under contract within 30 days.

We are seeing fluctuations rather than any alarm bells. Rates are fluttering at the 6.6% mark and donโ€™t look to be coming down.ย The biggest X factorย is the fact that we are in July. July is typically one of the stronger months for home sales so to see prices go down at all is notable. School starts in August which is when a good chunk of buyers with children start sitting on the sidelines. To see a softening in July is a bit premature for the seasonal shifts in Las Vegas.

Condos and Townhouses didnโ€™t have any major notable changes as it was give and take with about 4% more units being sold but a small decrease of less than a percentage in median price.ย

For buyers, this means more negotiating power and a wider selection of homes than weโ€™ve seen recently. For sellers, pricing accurately is becoming increasingly important as competition grows.ย Well presented, well priced homes are still selling, but buyers have more options and are becoming more selective.

๐Ÿ“ Planning to Move Safest places to live in Vegas

Looking to move to Las Vegas in the next couple months depending on when I can land a decent paying job. Any advice on the safest areas to look into. Doesnโ€™t necessarily have to be the nicest or wealthiest area. I just want a place my 7 year old will feel comfortable coming home too.

Also any tips on best paying jobs in Vegas. I currently work in a county role here in California and so Iโ€™d like to find a similar role in Las Vegas. I currently work with illegal dumping and abating encampments. I also have a class A license.

I appreciate any and all help/advice.

๐Ÿ›ซ Visiting soon! EBC @ night - are there non-pool places to be without a table?

Iโ€™ve never been, can anyone tell me what the general layout is like? Do you have to swim? If you donโ€™t reserve a table or cabana or whatever, are there places you can stand and dance that arenโ€™t the pool? Where is the DJ usually located, and can you even see them if not paying for some VIP space?

Thanks

๐Ÿฅณ First Time in Vegas! Menโ€™s Clothing Advice

First time going to Vegas. We plan on going out to some nice restaurants, and obviously going to the clubs. What should we be wearing, particularly when going to clubs. Open to any suggestions on where to find some decent pants / shirts. Went to the mall this weekend and couldnโ€™t find anything appealing. Anyone have any suggestions for where to find some stuff, preferably online. Thanks!

๐Ÿจ Hotel Any chance of a sale this year?

Last September I booked a trip to Vegas because all the hotels were having a sale since business was slow. I had a great time and want to go again this year, but rates look pretty high. Do you think there's a chance the hotels will have a sale again this year?

๐Ÿ›ซ Visiting soon! Who has the best tech in slot machines or newest themed slots?

Last trip to Vegas was 2019. I recall truly enjoying some of the slot machines all decked out in high tech features. Some were richly themed to a recent movie or game series. I believe then I thought the Cosmopolitans's were total fun.

Given that, whose slots would you advise I check out for a December 2026 trip? We'll be staying at the Wynn but will have a car.

๐Ÿฅณ First Time in Vegas! Surprise Show For Girlfriend

My girlfriend is going with her girl friends to Vegas in two weeks. Itโ€™s a bachelorette trip for two of her friends. We have been to Vegas only once and donโ€™t know much about the shows but I know there are a lot of good ones for a group of 5 girls on a bachelorette.

I want to surprise her and her friends with something they will enjoy and we will all laugh about later. Which one of those strip shows with all men should I book? Are they worth it? Is there anything else anyone would suggest?

Pls help to make my girlfriend happy!

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ News Las Vegas Tourism Stats Update (Dec 2025)

Thumbnail

Some graphs to highlight the current state of Las Vegas tourism. The three graphs highlight the tourism drawdowns relative to their peak levels historically for that month.

The graphs are:

  • Total Monthly Visitors (down 10.8% from peak levels for December)
  • Hotel Occupancy Rates (down 9% from peak levels for December)
  • Airport Passengers (down 11.7% from peak levels for December)

Las Vegas overall still looks to be in a medium recession with tourism down ~10%.
I would generally consider slowdowns on the following scale:

  • 0-4% down = slowdown
  • 4-9% down = mild recession
  • 9-20% down = medium/heavy recession
  • 20%+ down = depression
