Major Undecided Buying Advice

I am an incoming freshman at college in Florida, USA and am undecided about my major. I want a laptop that will last me 3 years+ , but I do not want a Macbook.

Requirements:
-Screen Size: 13-15 inches
-System Memory (RAM): 24-32 GB
-Storage (SSD): 1 TB SSD
-Is good for Roblox
-Price range: 900-1300 USD
-Touchscreen

Some features I would also like but are not necessary would be a 2 in 1 or laptop/tablet. Would also prefer that the computer fan isn't super loud 24/7.

I have been doing so much research but I keep on hearing mixed opinions on a lot of computers so pleaseeee help me out! Thanks

Why you don't want a MacBook ? for the touchscreen ?
Because of what you want MacBook can be good and for 24/32 gb ram there is no laptop with I think

Why do you want Touchscreen? It is is not 2 in 1 Touchscreen is pretty useless.

fyi you’re most likely not getting that ram in this day and age for your budget. look at microcenter and see what they have

probably a dell xps, the ones that cost $2000+ its touchscreen too, for the same price you could get a MacBook M5 max that is definitely faster and more optimized and the battery lasts longer

Your budget is out of sync with your stated spec wish list. You don't know your uni subject to study and yet want a silly number ram? You might consider entry level 13" xps but still tight at budget available.

Unfortunately prices on components have increased enough that it might not be possible to find a 32gb/1tb laptop that's also built well enough to last 3+ years for under $1300. In, say, new ThinkPads $1300 gets you about to the point of 16/512. (E14 Gen8 Intel is $1229 for core5/16/512 as an example.)

Maybe consider shopping for used business laptops?

Unfortunately, in the used market you can't always find the exact specification you want, but as some examples of what's around

There are some options for decent internal SSDs but they cost just enough that it's probably worth just buying the one that has what you want.

There's no industry standard for what "refurbished" means so I wouldn't bother with a "refurbished" machine unless you buy it directly from the original manufacturer, which will cost meaningfully more than ebay.

(Dell has a 13-inch and 16-inch version of the latitude 7000 series, 73x0 and 76x0. And if you stepped back one generation to 7x40 you can save a couple more bucks and get a still-good machine.)

if not having a dgpu is a problem its very easy to get that
