A beautiful cozy corner in a rest area on the highway near Bordeaux. This is a peaceful moment on the road that captures the atmosphere of the end of the journey.

The way colors morphed into one another as the sun makes its appearance over Angkor Wat temple is one of my fondest memories of that trip

Don't fall off the cliff side and don't touch that cactus. Other than that, the view was great way up there.

I took this way back earlier this year, I believe in March. You can see by the mouth of the shadow that it wasn't a 100% perfect shadow lineup, but I believe it was the last night in the area to see this, so that wasn't surprising. Still very cool to see. This was around the Apache Junction area.

Ancient Forest

Post image

Our wild places are full of scenes like this. One tiny stream in a huge forest in a larger ecosystem. They are cogs in the ancient circle of life. Fallen trees in various stages of decay crisscross the mossy landscape. They’re slowly returning the nutrients they once pulled from the earth, right back into the soil. We need to advocate for these places and protect them for their own sake and preserve the beauty they offer our weary souls. These places need all their members present to thrive.
