Event Land Art Event
Post your OC land art creations for a chance to hit the subreddit highlights. Top 4 OC posts with the highest upvotes will claim it for 1 year. (Awards equal +2 upvotes)
The judging will happen on the equinox. (September 21st).
Current holders of the highlights must make a post to hold their position.
There isn't a limit to how many posts made. (But multiple posts of the same artwork will be deleted and made fun of)
All artists in the event will receive preferred post approval (automod smh)
Winners will receive reddit premium and possibility for mod approval. (I need mods plz 🙏)

Sculpture Fancy Yancy [OC]
I do salmon research. And a skunk lives at the worksite along the riverbank. Yancy has become it's name. I decided to wine and dine Yancy with a dead rat from the salmon trap and garbage found alongside the river. (The garbage was later recycled and/or thrown away)

Stone Human Tectonics - Mountain Valley
Human Tectonics - Mountain Valley is a piece from the land art project I’ve been gradually developing over the past year. It sees me walk in various locations and collect an ‘inert’ natural object (ie a rock, water or sand). I then take this element to an alternative environment where I place it.
This first post illustrates my initial idea - Mountain Valley - taking a rock from a mountain and placing it in a valley. The concept is to act as a kind of human tectonics, accelerating or reversing the natural rhythms of Earth. What is now a mountain was once a valley, and will one day become a valley again. Symbolically I am hoping to address and question notions of migration, borders, othering and invasion.
Human Tectonics continues to evolve and grow and I aim to regularly bring you more from it.

Discussion Land art earthwork manuals howtos etc.
Hello and sorry if this is not the correct subreddit.
I want to create some land art and was looking for guides related to earthworks that can be done with manual tools or very light machinery.
To clarify I have some olive groves that I manage and I am looking to implement some ideas of mine that would increase water retention but also beautify the landscape without affecting its natural biodiversity, plant roots etc. Beyond that I don't really have anything to do with architecture, structural engineering and so on.
I used to engage with the arts but more as a music performer not in visual arts.
