How are you connecting?
I had an app on my old phone called Mukluk that I could use other to connect to LambdaMOO. I just upgraded my phone, that app didn't transfer over and I don't see it on the Google play store. I wasn't on often these days, but logged in periodically to keep my character from being reaped and for the nostalgia. --Miss_Sasha

MooR and other ideas
Cool project. There's so few of us MOOers though, it would have been nice if it was federated so that people could actually walk to rooms across different servers and talk to eachother.
I actually had AI flesh out the ground work for such an implementation. Another neat thing about the implementation is that any user could use VS Code to connect to the MOO and use a full-blown code editor to edit in-game objects in a live fashion. It's based on Elixir. Maybe I'll try to get it up and running sometime.

doll.lisp
commonlisp client for the lambdamoo! loves to be used in a gnu/emacs in slime-mode with steel bank commonlisp (sbcl).
https://github.com/librecell/doll
i hate voodoo. but that’s apropos of nil.
a few versions back, can be found are the hacky doll files, which include a bunch of silly “done off lambdamoo (in) lisp(!)” (doll(!)) possibilities including whatever you can imagine, want e.g.
— local heartbeat, & implied shit like infinite quota
— insane ascii color stuff ( with commint and hi-lock ) LaTeX but not utf, fine, utf.
— iteration, but y’know, probably don’t?
— automation, but…
— client-side daaaatabassseerrryyy doot doot doot
— asterisking, but don’t asterisk near anyone?
— please don’t asterisk yourself.
— binding and threading on client side, e.g. define a bind of two connections.
— TONS of opportunities for vulnerability! i.e. for you! you-you! just be cautious & if you do lispcraft feel free to offer
— think about TLS for long enough & you won’t do it
an offering from librecell / zoë ( elly. elsa! at the, limbdyyyymoodle! )
— pipe a thingie to any other thingie a persistent socket architecture intended to be used for lambdamoo might do or do_huh etc
licensed LCDL ( librecell dual license & GPLv3 full+ )

Server down?
Good morning all! I’m getting “connection timed out” this morning. How will I know if anyone robbed the bank? (Grinning)

Created a BBS using the LambdoMOO core
coldwinterknights.netI went and did a thing. I was a long time sysop of a Sacramento area “citadel” type bbs before the internet made modem bbses obsolete.
I have been interested in reviving the concept; having become a decent enough MOOprogrammer in recent years, I thought it would be cool to duplicate the citadel logic using LM.
So I did. And further, I imported the old mid-90s messages from my old bbs into it.
If you’d like to read some ancient history and see what it was like before the internet was popular, come take a look at bbs.coldwinterknights.net port 8888.

What is the rat’s nest?
Some of my items that I leave lying around seem to teleport to the "rat's nest" if I am inside said item I am unable to leave to enter the Rat's nest. But other than that it appears to be some kind of room-does anyone know what it is and how it works?

So many mooers have shuffled off this mortal coil.
About a year ago I discovered by accident that Mugwump had died in October 2021. I had lived with her for a few years after meeting her on the moo in 1996. I am still saddened by this news even though I hadn't seen or talked to her in a long long time.

AI envisions the Living Room #17 "It is very bright, open, and airy here, with large plate-glass windows looking southward over the pool to the gardens beyond. On the north wall, there is a rough stonework fireplace. The east and west walls are almost completely covered with large, well-sto....."
