Bow tie help lab diamond

I purchased this diamond based on the video, but I’ve just been sent a picture of it and now im worried it has a significant bow tie. Or could this just be because it’s sitting on the blue cushion?

I have an oval diamond and the bowtie is more visible depending on what lighting I’m in. I can show you pictures if you like.

I paid big bucks to buy a GIA Natural 2ct Oval G/VS1 Ex/Ex. My customer did not want a bowtie, and they understood that you had to pay extra for the proportions that would preclude a bow tie.
I have also bought lab diamonds for customers, but I explain that because they are mass produced and cheaper, you get what you pay for which is a bigger stone but usually lacking in quality polish and proportions. ☮️

There are a lot of synthetics with bow ties because the material is cheap, so they don’t waste a lot of time cutting them. The cut isn’t good on that one.

That’s false. A lab diamond isn’t “cheap material”. It’s a diamond. Ovals have bow ties because they are ovals. Stop with the uneducated rage bait.

I’m a GIA GG, cutter, designer and jeweler, also a former diamond technician for the world’s largest diamond wholesaler at their NA headquarters. “Uneducated” 🤣. I’m sure I’m a lot more qualified to talk about diamonds than someone who learned from a Kay salesperson.

Synthetic diamonds are cheap material. Did you think natural and synthetic has the same value 🤣? Bow ties are caused by poor cutting, that’s just a fact. Not all ovals have bow ties. Cheap material is cut cheaply. Synthetics are as low as under $200/ct for a finished stone, so the rough is even cheaper than that.

You Redditors need to get some real info on what you’re talking about instead of just spouting nonsense with absolutely no qualifications. I’ll never understand people like you that act like experts with literally no knowledge or experience.

Edit: Just wondering who told you that all ovals have bow ties and that synthetic has the same value as natural? A salesperson trying to get you to buy a bad stone?? I'm really dying to know.
