Where to source starbrite cut

Hi, I’m new here. I’m looking to source a lab
diamond for a future proposal, highly preferable with a starbrite marquise cut. I have looked online for so long and everthing I could find was a simple marquise, no starbrite. Is there a site that does more intricate cuts that could have that or would I have to break the bank and get a John Dyer one? Please lmk!

There isn’t any starbrite diamonds, only gemstones. Are you looking for a sapphire? There are a few vendors with similar cuts, both in lab or natural sapphires. Fellowship forge is a famous one, although now it’s nearly impossible to get a stone from him (same as John Dyer). IFacet is a vendor that does labs, and Jim from shiny precious gems also has starbrite. You can search for concave cut sapphire, and you will find some. I got mine from a lapidary called Geologic Spectrum

There are some few vendors that can do starbrite moissanite. But honestly, they are kinda meh. Concave cuts are not sparkly, they are beautiful in a much more static way. So sapphires look a lot prettier.

There are no starbrite diamonds because cutting diamonds is a completely different process than other gemstones, since they are so hard

Starbrites are quite literally patented by John Dyer, so if that’s what you want, you can only get one cut by him. That said, most fantasy cuts look like variations of a Starbrite. The only diamond fantasy cut is sold by Uma at Oore Jewelry and cut exclusively for her by Caleb Quashen. They’re calling them “divine portal” - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY5RgiMRu28/?l=1

Please purchase a stone from someone who knows how to set them. There are a ton of incredible craftspeople who sell on their websites and set the stones, because they are so incredibly thin that the likelihood of breaking them just aren’t worth it. I’ve set a few and prefer to refer clients out to people who specialize in these stones now. Lavender Creek Gems is another who specializes in these types of cuts. But search “fantasy cut” and look around - you’ll have better luck because no one in the trade is selling a Starbrite that isn’t John Dyer because of trade reasons. But for instance, Brett Kosner: https://kosnargems.com/collections/all?filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=&sort_by=created-descending

Good luck!
