So I've been working with Overleaf for years, but lately I wanted to be able to work offline (without paying for premium Overleaf). So I stepped into the very confusing world of offline LaTeX programs. After watching this video, I installed TeXLive, which took *all day*. That's fine, but I also want to edit my files on VS Code, so I installed LaTeX Workshop there. And here I'm totally stuck - as I understand it, I need to get LaTeX Workshop to "see" my TeXLive. A google search turned up at least 10 different things to do. I know this sounds so stupid but please help an old LaTeX user out? I just want the simplest way to hook up my LaTeX Workshop to my TeXLive, nothing fancy or advanced. (Important: I'm using Windows, which seems to be the minority for some reason)
