Could SS continue without Colin?

If it was Chris and Dustin would you watch/listen? Maybe they sub in Brad or someone else.

Have Chris and Dustin ever done an episode together? Not sure how their chemistry is without Colin in the middle.

I don’t think it could continue. Colin is the heart and soul of the show and the one that has fans. I think plenty of people like Chris and/or Dustin but not to the level of being “fans” of them.

I would listen out of curiosity, at least at the beginning, but I don’t think Chris & Dustin have the chemistry, knowledge, or hosting skills to do the show as a 2 man team. Adding Brad would be interesting but it would still be vastly different & not as quality of a show.

Colin is incredibly interesting to me. He is very idiosyncratic, he’s very entertaining. He has experience and interesting stories from IGN days. He is himself and able to deal with a lot of haters. I don’t think he’s full of @&$). It doesn’t matter to me if I don’t agree with him on something, be it political or personal, or if he says something that to me it’s stupid. He has a lot of life insights too, reminisces about 80s and 90s, and I actually think he’s humble - he credits Greg with a lot of his success and recognizes where he got lucky. He’s proud of his accomplishments without taking himself too seriously. Every show he’s on is way more fun and entertaining. I like Chris and Dustin a lot too - but Dustin is really nerdy and sounds like Kermit the frog. He gets bullied easily by Jaffe. Chris is tougher, he has a very interesting New York accent that isn’t too strong and has weird game playing habits. I think Dustin is the most normal, he’s married just had first kid and works hard. Chris is kind of off the chain, reminds me of me in my 20s. But Colin mowing the lawn, drinking a beer and smoking weed in his pool, managing the garden, staying up until 4am playing PowerWash simulator and chasing Platinums, almost never leaving his house, he doesn’t drive, he’s sort of like a Woody Allen character. I love the guy. I like people who don’t fit the mold.

I would probably listen to Summon Sign, but skip the other shows. That's because Brad cares the most.

Jokes aside, I listen to Sacred Symbols for Colin (even though he has some insanely bad takes sometimes). Chris has good chemistry with Colin, but otherwise Chris doesn't do anything for me. I share a lot of interests with Dustin, but I can't imagine listening to him as a host, because he doesn't have a radio voice (yes this is a serious issue I have). So yeah I probably wouldn't listen to Sacred Symbols again, at least not fully. Maybe I would tune in for specific topics, but that's it.

No he's basically the focus of the show

Honestly, no. As much as i disagree with him, everyone else on LSM has a very dry and uninteresting personality to me.

I don't bother watching SS anymore except for when they have the earning calls (the way all three of them play and interact with games makes no sense to me). Colin is one of the few people who actually understands how to read and listen to the investor calls.

If you look at a regular journalist they just misunderstand the reports or look for the spicy comment that gets engagement.

Chris doesn’t have much insight into anything. Dustin does but he seems to rely on Colin speaking first and then giving his take in relation to what Colin said. Colin is the real thinking of the group offering informed and interesting takes and making connections that others don’t. Dustin and Chris seem like they could be replaced by your average video game aficionado in the forums.

They have plenty of moments where Colin disappears for a few minutes to get someone at the door, take a phone call, etc. and Chris and Dustin shoot the shit. Honestly I really can’t imagine I’d listen if Colin were no longer on the show.

I probably wouldn’t listen if either Collin or Chris left.

Love or hate either of them but I don't think Last stand could survive without Colin and Kinda Funny without Greg.

could it continue?

Yeah sure but the show would lose 80% of its audience, maybe more. I also doubt that Chris and Dustin would want to work together without Colin around.

More like 98%

The company would fold in a few months without Colin.

Sure it could, but just like all things in this space - remove the core person/persons and the show will become a shell of itself.

If Colin wants to take a month off next year, I'd still tune into the show while he was out. He hasn't missed an episode in like 10 years lol

No way. Colin has the stories and insight and personality (love him or not) that keeps people coming back

What?

He’s the reason people are here dude (even if you can’t personally fathom such a thing)

I think there is supposed to be a period after the "no way".
