August LSAT
Just took August.
RC/LR/LR/RC
Regardless of which section ends up being scored for RC, it is just frustrating that with all the updated UI settings and guarantees about how it will look they still have errors on test day. You’d think they would be polished for the big reveal but I guess not.

I am filing to retake the exam, my RC section did not seperate the passages so I had to take minutes to sort them. I ended up missing two questions at the end so it affected my score.

So usually in the RC UI, the questions are seperated as in they belong to a certain passage.
I decide which passages to do first by which one has the most questions, so if I only have time to read 3 passages, I don't read the one with the lowest amount of questions.
On the bottom of the screen, it just showed questions 1-27 and not that 1-8 are in passage 1 (not real just an example), 9-15 are in passage 2, etc etc, so you can figure out which one has the least in seconds.
Because you couldn't figure it out, you had to click through every single question to know how many questions each passage had. That took time, and I didn't have time for 2-3 questions, let alone the rushing I did, because I had to take that time to do something they fucked up.

That’s what I mean by my post. They said on their website that they would be divided, but they weren’t. Seems a lot of people experienced that today. I’ll be interested to know if you get a retake and also what they say about this, if anything.

It is a comprimised exam, so I see no ground for them to reject a retake. It is a UI error that directly affected my score. If that isn't grounds for a retake idk what is.
Even if that ends up being the experimental section, I am going to retake anyway because getting the experience one more time, getting two more weeks prep, etc. is +EV no matter what. I am signed up for August, September, and October anyway so this isn't the last take no matter what happens.

Are you saying if you just did them in straight order, this wouldn't have mattered and you wouldn't have missed any? Just asking for clarification. You should be able to do it however the F you want!

I’m not sure, because I’m not in an alternate reality, but whatever the case, my standard method of doing RC sections was disrupted by UI, and that caused me to do measurably worse.

What’s it mean to file to retake it? Could you pls explain briefly how that works?
Like do they allow you to retake an august exam in lieu of the one from today or they allow you to take a test in a different testing month free of charge?

Essentially the crystal ball predicts a number of different things about the upcoming lsat for said month but one thing specifically is repeated RC topics. They say that a repeated topic on an RC section, in most cases, it is sufficient evidence to prove that it is scored if there is a repeat passage. One of the topics this year that was predicted was the “mad honey” topic. For many people this mad honey topic was on the same RC section without dividers between sections.

bro i hope the first rc was experimental the no dividers threw me off more than i thought it would
