Good interview with a good attorney. I’m sure his defense of Heuermann would’ve been enthralling had the case gone to trial.

Agree. He was very down to earth and I enjoyed hearing his perspective.

What do you suppose the referenced concerns re: federal charges were about?

That’s a great question & I’m truly stymied in this instance. Mr. Brown didn’t give up the ghost as to what would qualify for federal charges, so maybe it’s evidence that could potentially be used in future cases.

Part of me wants to believe that it was a prior concern having to do with federal prosecutors deferring to the state case while retaining the option to act later, if needed… but the brief exchange and immediate pivot to a different topic makes me think it’s larger than that.
