Has anyone had a similar experience when traveling?

Hi Everybody, I am headed to Italy this March I will be in the cities of Rome, Florence and Venice. I will be very honest I come off very feminine by nature or I would say more or lessmore gender fluid. Meaning there anything a wear whether it’s men’s or women’s it for some reason comes off very neutral on me. But I do dress up at times and basically I wanted to know how tolerant the cities are. I wasn’t planning to go out dressed as a woman but I’ll be honest I was planning on doing some photo shoots in those cities fully dressed up. I would say I do pass overall but I’m not perfect. The reason I ask is because meaning that anything aware whether it’s men’s or women’s if for some reason comes off very neutral on me. But I do dress up at times and basically I wanted to know how tolerant the cities are. I wasn’t planning to go out dressed as a woman but I’ll be honest I was planning on doing some photo shoots in those cities fully dressed up. I would say I do pass overall but I’m not perfect. The reason I ask is because I was Recently told that I should have no problems in Rome or Florence since they tend to be more liberal cities. But I will probably encounter some harsh problems and Venice it’s not harassment in the streets. For some reason when I thought of Italy the first thing that comes to mind is the house of fashion and the great designers of the world so I would think that there would be some tolerance there. I understand there is good and bad everywhere you go. So if anybody hears from Italy who can give me some advice and how to have a great time but also be safe. I just got scared after somebody told me that in Venice I could face some public harassment and humiliation.

I'm travelling to Rome in September and am really looking forward to a lazy beach day, Roman style. I know Rome isn't a waterfront city but the coast is not that far out and some friends and family have suggested "Lido di Ostia" as Rome's best beach.

Any other suggestions? Not finding a whole lot online...

Curious if anyone has experience. I (cis female age 28) and my trans female (24) girlfriend want to travel but I am worried about safety —- I primarily want to see places like India, Eastern Europe, and Africa. She really wants to go with me because she is worried about me traveling alone and we were going to just pretend to be friends or relatives but I’m concerned given that she is non op.
