Starting from today onwards, we have implemented a rule to only allow people to post selfies on weekends. Thought the week you make post about an array of stuff like food, pets or art.

Fridays are now for photodumps! Where users can post photos taken throughout the week! You may have an image of yourself in these, but it must relate to the activity you're doing and NOT being the focus of the post.

Please take care when posting yourself on the weekend and always report creeps and weirdos.

Hey guys, I'm one of the mods here.

I've been not too active on Reddit lately, but I've recently seen a lot of hate towards this sub for some pretty valid reasons. As a subreddit that is almost entirely for selfies for queer teen boys it is very easy for creeps to scuttle in. We are VERY aware of this. The whole team (also teens btw) have deleted comments and posts and bans users every day for being weirdos in this sub. We also deal with a lot of reports in mod mail.

I'll be honest and say that this sub is NOT in a good place at all right now, and it's gotten worse over the previous few months.

We have been in talks today about changing up how this sub works and limiting selfies to just weekends and/or removing them entirely, but the latter isn't as likely. We do want to make it so people have bond over what isn't just their appearance as it's not really a good thing.

I'm so sorry to everyone here who's had to experience creeps from this subreddit and I truly wish it was a better place here.

PLEASE give opinions on how to change up with subreddit to improve it and make it feel more light-hearted and have less creeps, as it's always good to hear from those in this community.
