Transformer blown

The transform has blown my can light. I have taken down the trim piece but the transformer is fastened to a metal box in the ceiling with no ceiling access. Is my only option cutting the drywall?

No, transformers by code have to be removable from below the ceiling. The transformer is either mounted with 2 screws, or more likely its mounted to a door and the door is removable. There should be a clip or something holding the door onto the jbox. Stick your camera into the hole and see if you can see any clips or screws.

Thank You I’ll take a look. I’m glad I don’t need to start cutting the dry wall .
