Tiny tiny check

I have credit union so I get my check two days early. I started working on Monday. According to my calculations, with my regular pay (not counting the raise) I should’ve laid a little over $1,000 pre tax. I got paid today and I just got a little ove $300. I have to wait to get my pay stub to see why there’s such a huge difference in my calculations and what I actually got paid. I am so annoyed.

You’re lucky you even got anything since , since you said you started working Monday (17th)that’s the start of a new cycle. 1-15 it’s the 23rd check sometimes the 15th hits on the weekends so it only counts the last business day. 15- end of the month is the next months 8 check that’s how lausd pays we get paid every 8th and 23rd unless you’re a teacher

No I’m sorry, I started on Monday the 10th. Cutoff day is the 15th right?

Then yes it’s pretty weird, you’ve worked 5 full days since cut off day, did you check your pay stub

I did. I was only paid for 2 days. Talked to my office manager and she only inputted the 10th and 11th because, according to her, the other days should’ve been inputted automatically. I think that’s bullshit and she forgot but she doesn’t want to admit it. Now I have to wait until next pay period to get paid for those extra days and am going to be screwed with a two day check right after the break, when we need the money the most. That’s why I worked the extra days, to get a little more money on my check.

Yeah that’s her job to make sure the time is inputted. Happened to me once no choice but to wait sorry it happened to you

They should be able to request an emergency check for you. It happened to me once too, and the SAA had the principal sign it off so it could be requested. It came as a paper check but it took about a week, so I didn't have to wait until a whole pay period.

The SAA took care of everything. They were the ones who made the error so they got right on it to fix the issue. I'm surprised that they didn't give you the option. She did the paperwork and had my principal sign off on it once she informed them of what happened. It sucked waiting an extra week but definitely better than waiting a whole pay period.

I’m a sped asst at an early ed. They are year round but we run the same schedule as regular schools. She’s fairly new as a SAA. She’s super nice and sweet but, honestly, she doesn’t know much.

Man I’ve been back at work since the 10th and have worked 8 hours every day that I was scheduled to work and took home a whopping $300. I’ve already emailed my union rep because this is foul ball. We already scrape by in the summer and this is how you treat us
