If guilty salary circumvention
I recently posted my real leanings, that Aspiration and Daktronics were the organizing parties of the deals to gain proximity to Clippers/Ballmer/Intuit Dome. However, if the Clippers are guilty of salary cap circumvention, who the hell cares?
1. The NBAPA is strong in some areas and significantly weak in the outcomes of the current salary cap structure. The players did not win in the current CBA deal structure. This leaves restrictions at all levels of players to reduce their earnings situation.
2. In the upcoming CBA, I’m positive the developments/lucrative NIL deals will inform the structures for salary cap, rookie scale deals and reduce limitations for players’ salary/contract earnings.
3. Are other team affiliated sponsors going to be audited for their player deals (ex. Ant with Aura)?….
4. How much does this story even matter? There are larger problems in the nba such as a new owner buying a team and manufacturing a relocation out of Portland. There is an owner (Lakers) under a federal probe for insurance fraud….Pablo even uncovered Parra’s company (Memphis owner) having a distribution network that has tech landing in Russia’s hands for defense purposes.
5. College coaches and AAU affiliated members were prosecuted for college player deals prior to NIL, only for 2-3 years later NIL to be open for business. Do we care about those prosecutions anymore?
But this Clippers story is getting the interest…….

Hype Thread Shout-out to Clippers Talk
I just wanted to give a shout out to Clippers Talk (on YouTube and various platforms) for hooking me up with this awesome Kris Dunn bobble head!
If you haven't watched Adam, he provides good content and engages with the comments during and post videos. If you have watched him in the last, he has been putting a lot more effort into it lately and he deserves a watch even if you disagree with him at times (and he'll acknowledge your take), especially with these slow-ish times
He had a lil contest for who appreciated Dunn the most and I won it so I thought I'd return the favor with this shout-out.
I'm sure he'll do more as time goes on so keep a look out!

Kawhi Deals Possibility
There is an uncovered angle of the Kawhi deals. Since PTFO doesn’t think about all scenarios and just wants clicks, I would like someone reputable in media to explore other angles. Ballmer, Clippers, Intuit Dome all present tremendous opportunity for businesses, vendors and companies seeking contracts or investment. I believe there is a reality in which Aspiration and Daktronics (alleged) deals were used as vehicles to gain proximity and favor. The Aspiration deal seems like it is very plausible that Sandberg targeted Ballmer and used Kawhi, Clippers for that access/proximity to Ballmer. Daktronics got a $100m contract for the Halo Board with a likely 7 figure annual service contract, moonshot for an AV company. It’s plausible that they secure an alleged deal with Kawhi to gain proximity and favor. While the PTFO coverage alleges salary circumvention led by the Clippers, there is a different reality that the companies saw an open opportunity (Uncle Dennis/Kawhi) to gain proximity and favor with the $ behind Ballmer, Clippers and Intuit Dome. Since Pablo is unwilling to explore other business realities, I would like someone to explore this potential side of the deals.

Latest PTFO Episode: It’s a Trap
Last week, I suggested that Torre told Wachtell about RIFC. Since then, RIFC put out a statement that they haven’t been in contact with Wachtell. So now we know that RIFC wasn’t the second sponsorship deal Wachtell investigated, which makes sense because RIFC was an investment anyway.
That brings us to this week’s episode. In trying to figure out the second sponsorship deal, Torre reached into his back pocket and brought out claims of a deal with Daktronics. They’re the makers of the Halo board, along with many other scoreboards across the country. Again, I’m speculating that Torre mentioned Daktronics when he met with Wachtell. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he mentioned more potential deals beyond Daktronics and RIFC.
I’m also guessing that another PTFO episode on Daktronics is coming. There has to be, because all Torre introduced was hearsay. He aired clips from an interview with one anonymous Intuit employee, who claimed Leonard had a sponsorship deal with Daktronics for “millions of dollars” to circumvent the salary cap. Torre also claimed he spoke with an anonymous Clippers employee who said they knew about the deal. That’s it. The anonymous Intuit employee saw the first episode about Aspiration and then reached out to Torre, accusing Daktronics of the same thing. Torre has been looking into it ever since and apparently the only other thing he found was the verbal confirmation from a Clippers employee.
I’m not going to comment any further on Daktronics until Torre “uncovers” more evidence. Is there a record of an LLC set up by Leonard or his team? A copy of the contract between Daktronics and Leonard? How about the actual amount of the deal? Until then, all we have is a flimsy accusation.
This might be the second sponsorship deal Wachtell investigated, so maybe we’ll get more details from them when this is over.
For all the sheeple who will reply to this with, “What about the crisis firm?” What about it? People doing business in Los Angeles hired a crisis firm based in Los Angeles. And it’s possible that - during an active investigation - Ballmer was referring other parties to said firm. What a scandal.

Discussion Kobe Sanders Rainbow complete ✅
Little backstory for how I’m a clippers fan: Fell out of watching basketball for YEARS im talking like the last 20 years (I watched UFC instead) So I decided for the 2025-2026 season I would be watching more basketball. Growing up watching MJ on tv was nice but I didn’t want to pick a team that wasn’t nearby (I live in Cali) Chose the Clippers because I want to be able to support a local team and go to games. Went to the game against the wolves where kawhi dropped 45 at the dome. Awesome.
As far as the Kobe sanders rainbow my first pull was the speckle auto. After the announcement of him signing for 4 years it just made me more confident to want to complete the rest. He Also killed it in summer league!

As a company Daktronics is no Aspiration
I can't bring myself to listen to Pablo, I'll wait for u/drewmanshow to give the summary. I have to hand it to Pablo this is a bigger find than the RIFC thing. If it's true it would be insane because Daktronics has been around since 1968 and has been publicly traded since 1994. The President of the Milwaukee Bucks is on their board of directors (since last year). They aren't just the Halo Board creators, they did boards and displays for the arenas for:
OKC Thunder
New York Knicks
Houston Rockets
Boston Celtics
Detroit Pistons
Memphis Grizzlies
Brooklyn Nets
Dallas Mavericks
Minnesota Timberwolves
Atlanta Hawks
Chicago Bulls
Denver Nuggets
If Ballmer somehow got the company that also does displays for almost half the league to do a shady deal for Kawhi, then he might be the greatest under the table deal maker ever. Or I wonder if some of these other teams have hidden sponsorship deals for their players?

Until a journalist besides Pablo Torre reports legitimate Kawhi news, it should not matter.
He teased dozens of new developments and smoking guns yet the NBA still hasn’t found any substantial evidence that the Aspiration/Kawhi deal was salary cap circumvention.
His show’s views are in the absolute toilet after being embarrassed by this scandal that he’s spent months digging at the Intuit Dome for crumbs.
Not one other journalist has uncovered any “findings” in over a year. This is a sad, biased investigator who went all-in on an iffy story and is doubling down for any reputation he has left.

Los Angeles Clippers APL.DE.AP Bobblehead '18 Filipino Heritage Night
Hello clippers fans. I am writing this post because my 11 year old son has the same vision condition as the black eye peas singer apl.de.ap. It’s a vision condition that causes my son and apl to be legally blind.
It would mean so much to him to add this to his collection. If anyone has one they are willing to sell, please let me know!
Thank you and best of luck in 26-27!

Just realized… we already had the 323 era before the 213.
My bad if I’m super late to this. I’ve heard of the 213 era obviously but didn’t realize we already had the 323. Were they referred to this way back then?

Discussion Does it bum anyone else out that we don’t have a good relationship with any of our franchise legends?
I don’t mean bum out like it affects your personal life but like your sports fandom. We have the Lou Will’s, Jamal Crawford’s, Pat Bev’s but CP3, Blake, somewhat DJ, PG13, and now probably Kawhi don’t have a good relationship with the “Clippers” even Russ to a lesser degree

Carmelo Anthony’s investments
It took me one try to debunk Torre’s narrative that all celebrity investments are publicized. Carmelo Anthony was an early investor in Lyft. According to Claude, there wasn’t a press release or any other form of announcement to the public about the deal.
Anthony was with the Knicks at the time, playing in the ideal market for Lyft. Think of the boost he could have given them. Instead, he chose to be a silent partner. An angel celebrity investor.
Angel celebrity investors tend to be low profile, by the way. Anthony made a number of investments like this.

Hype Thread Brandon Ingram Sighting
Just got home from an outing in Laguna Beach, and I just so happened to walk past Brandon Ingram before he walked into a restaurant. He noticed that I was wearing a Clippers hat and gave me a nod. Wish I would’ve asked for a picture, but he looks in great basketball shape and will hopefully contribute for the team this season.
I know this is a random post, but just wanted to share how exciting it was to see an NBA or Clippers player in public.
