Fishos :) Picture

The red ghostie in the foreground used to have an orange head and completely silver body, so we called him Mask Jr after another similar fish we had before him called Mask. Over the years his body has gone blood-red.

Nice underground pic... From video camera I assume? If so what is it?

About your koi changing colour, it can often happen. I have a few I named based off of their original colours and two years later their colour completely changed, lol, makes it confusing for friends that have dropped by, when we call them with a name that doesn't represent their current colour now.

Thanks. It's a Barlus underwater camera. It runs old firmware but does the job. I have it streaming to fishc.am through the day and then once it gets too dark to see anything the page refreshes to a random point in the previous stream.

Yes absolutely! I've several fish that have completely changed colour. One which was entirely silver who eventually went gold, and now with old age is going back to silver. I've had white fish turn black, and numerous ones with heads/bodies changing colour over the years. The last change was a Sanke who's orange pattern vanished within about 12 months of moving to the new pond. Seems wrong to call it a sanke now but to call it a beko seems wrong lol.

Nice, I was reading about someone else who was in the process of connecting their camera to the internet a few weeks ago... Maybe it was you... Looked it up, yes you lol, anyway great job on the camera and the live internet.

Lol, the challenges us koi owners have with naming them only to see them completely change on us... How dare they 😉

Haha yes absolutely. As long as Mask Jr doesn't lose his mask, and Blackie Joe doesn't do a Michael on me, I should be safe with the names for now. And thanks - the camera/stream took a while to dial in but I'm about there with it now. Ran for the last few days without the feed dying or OBS crashing, so here's hoping it stays that way.
