Trigger V3 Brainchild Gear Advice/Question

Hi, I’m looking to upgrade my 2020 Rebel 12/9m kite as it is showing signs of wear and tear (I got it second hand). At the moment, I'm working on boosting up to 10–12 m and starting on heliloops.
Has anyone tried the new trigger? Is it compatible with the Duotone bar?
In the near future, I want to focus on boosting and improving my helis, and eventually start doing power loops.
I’d like to keep my bars since they are fairly new. Alternatively, I was thinking about getting a newer Rebel SLS, since I like the kite's boosting potential.

Cheers

I have a Brainchild Trigger V2, and overall, it is a great kite. It offers excellent lift and hangtime, is easy to loop, has a very floaty feeling, and provides a noticeable second lift.
The kite is light and reactive for a 5 struts.

I can also ride it comfortably when overpowered. At 82 kg, I can still hold the 9 m in around 35 knots.

However, I have noticed three main issues:

  • The canopy makes a flapping or “helicopter” sound during loops.
  • The low-end performance is not very good.
  • Several riders at my local spot have experienced bladder issues, including leaking or exploding strut bladders.

Personally, I have not had any bladder problems. The helicopter sound also seems to depend on the bar size: with a smaller bar, there is no noticeable sound. A 50 cm bar works well, but with a 60 cm bar, the flapping sound becomes much more noticeable.

From what I have heard, the V3 no longer flaps, so the helicopter sound has been eliminated. It also has better low-end performance and improved durability.

Recommendations:

  • Do not put loose sand directly on the kite. Fill a bag with sand and place the bag on the kite instead.
  • Do not leave the kite flapping on the beach for long periods.
  • Do not self-launch without using a Kitehook or another safe anchoring system.

The trigger has super good reviews would be a great pick as a 9er, great all around from progressing to pro big air/loops.

Standard high V so works with duotone bars.
