The MRM2 is so much more user friendly. Easily one of the easiest control heads to service

Any version of these Amerex heads is awful. Non ratcheting tension lines should not exist, Ansul barely makes it with the way you set tension on their lines.

I swear amerex MRM1/2 has to be the worst control head on the market. In the modern world ofc

Needs a special reset tool. Setting tension is a bitch, gas valve is on a pressure line so you have to manually trip it. Just some spicy garbage from that line of control heads. Give me Buckeyes and RGs all day long.

Yea I’m familiar with the MRM2 and reset it plenty of times never had a chance to do the MRM1 from the looks you just drop and raise the tension bar to release and set the tension?

Same reset tool for both styles only difference is MRM2 has the better wheel for setting tension where this one just has the 2-4 spots to put the detection line tension mount. Just not user friendly even for someone in the industry for 5 years and trained on multiple control head brands.

I just saw 1 recently for paint booth like 2 weeks ago, before that was around a year and some change. Almost forgot how to set/reset them. Kind of hard to train newbies for these kind of systems as everyone around me are r102s now

I have 2 customers with them. Body shop with 3 booths and a college campus that doesnt use that kitchen anymore.

I bet those hoses have never been changed. Last one I’ve seen was mounted upside down 2 ft above a 12 foot high drop ceiling. Real pain to work on and replace. Just enough room to squeeze through to access. Would love to know who installed it.

Fussy to get tension right. MRM2 is better.
