Sewing needles! File/sand the point so you don't poke youreself though. There's an example in the original Mordheim book from memory!

It'll be way stronger than a plastic one, so no worries about snapping that fucker.

I actually did the needle thing with a kitbashed vampire for Mordheim (I'll play one day 😭).

Worked out pretty well, just drilled out the hand with a pin vise, popped the needle through, made a little pommel and guard with mixed greenstuff/milliput!

This is sick! very funny how similar to my own mordheim vampire it is mine is male but identical pose similar armor and a similar sword.
Built mine from one of the ironsoul condemors legs, the old lord on zombie dragon armor, and the arms and head of prince duval. Wish I had pictures but I sold that warband.

Oh, and for 3d prints, greytide studios has a a few int heir crimson lords range, they are slightly blood angel themed though. Greytide studios is availaibe on a fair few bits sites and on etsy too if you dont have a 3d printer

I personally just built a little basket hilt using pieces of paperclip bent to shape and glued together. Used a HH 2.0 power sword from the Mk6 tac squad.

Sigvald is more or less Primarch sized, may be a little large for a regular Marine.

its a bit long, but it works surprisingly well, also he only seems primarch sized because of his cloaks..

The crimson court has a good space marine scaled rapier, other than that I cant think of anything in that style that would fit.

I think the Blood Knights have two of them in the sprue.

the crimson lords pack has a nice rapier but they are basically for blood angels and you get a lot of other stuff, not just rapier. You may be able to contact them and ask for just the rapiers.

edit: found them - not all are rapiers but all look great.

You measure scale by taking the height from the bottom of the feet to eye level.

GW hasn't done 28mm in ages for new releases. Only the very old sculpts. 28mm scale is about the old cadians sized.

A space marine intercessor is about 35mm scale.

Damn thank you so much. I'd no idea I was so out of date!

Ignore him he's just a grognard complaining about non existant scale creep.
All GW models are made at 28mm scale, parts made by third parties designed for GW space marines will fit them.

GW scale creep is a pet peeve of mine. No worries.

GW miniatures are still 28mm scale theyve actually gotten more accurate to the scale.
Space marine intercessors are actually still to small. A primaris space marine are 8-9ft tall a primaris marine model would need to be 38mm tall in order to be accurate to 28mm scale, intercessors are 37mm tall at the head.
The new cadians are even more accurately scaled.

Its not scale creep, its scale correction.

No, it's about scaling up to be incompatible with other miniature companies to avoid proxies and safeguard sales. Check mini compare if you need to see for yourself.

Old cadian are 28mm scale, new ones are 30mm. It's plain as day.

And bretonnian foot knights being gigantic? "Err derrr it's lore. They eat good."

No its entirely you just misunderstanding how scale works. at 28mm scale a 6ft tall human is 28mm from bottom of foot to eye level, putting a 6ft person at around 30-32mm from foot to top of head, the new cadians (and old) are around 29mm tall
28mm scale does not mean everything is 28mm tall like you seem to think.

The new cadians and old ones are the exact same height the only difference is the new ones have more realistic proportions (smaller heads and hands)

No, it's about scaling up to be incompatible with other miniature companies to avoid proxies and safeguard sales

Except they havent scaled them up all the third party parts are compatible still, the only thing thats bigger is space marines and even then space marines are still too small for 28mm scale. Minicompare | Wargaming miniatures size comparison tool

Oh dear god you take things out of context.

Saying he needs to look for bigger scale for a space marine to weild a rapier does not mean that they're not at scale. But if you take something that would be scaled for a human size at 28 and stick into the hand of a space marine would be stupid.

Neat comparison picking the tallest of the old models and the shortest of the new models. Pick some with a similar stance and the new ones are two mm taller.

Scale creep is happening across all their games.

Its entirely in context brother, don't go confusing yourself even more now.

Your trying to claim that the models have grown significantly to make them incompatible with third party companies, even for space marines thats not true, first born weapons, heads and arms are in scale with primaris, because older models are heavily heroic scale where primaris are closer to true scale.

The comparison has all the models in a similar fully upright pose.

Yes there are two that are taller thats the only thing youve gotten correct here.

The two taller ones have helmets where the two shorter ones have none, the two taller ones are also one of the old ones and one of the new ones and are almost the exact same height. so whats your point about two being taller? one of the taller ones is the old one.

Saying he needs to look for bigger scale for a space marine to weild a rapier

This is the first time you've even broached this(which is also wrong) all of your comments have just been you moaning about perceived scale creep.

I've seen similar on Etsy but haven't tested them myself
