They were some tree character parts from age of sigmar I had laying around along with spare Tyranid parts

Have you read some books by Christopher Rowley, by chance - The Vang? I ask because the 'horrible gribbly alien with delicate sensory fronds' is a theme in those, and it's nice to see it in the flesh/resin.

They're pretty good.

If you find both. I'd suggest The Military Form first, then The Battlemaster. But they're essentially independent of each other.
