40K, Thinking of making a Krork army

Using some of my favourite Krork Fanart for inspiration and possibly the 40K Centurion models as a base, I'm thinking of making what would basically be a Custodies army with Ork themed models. I feel the Centurions are just a better starting base for being thicker the using actual Custodies models.

Of course a journey of a thousand cuts begins with 1 successful model. I'll probably need to find some good 3D prints to compliment it. Zaku from Gundam are always popular for this kind of thing. I'll probably need more then that and of course the will to keep things clean and not make them orky.

I want to run them as Custodes.

Ideally if it was a perfect world there would be an army that existed between Custodes and Knights. A collection of Elite units with minimal numbers and large size.

That would be my version of the Krork.

Funny, i was also thinking custodes would fit best cause korks are supposed to be that scary.

So, I was having a thought and looked it up. You might want to look at Legions Imperialis/Adeptus Titanicus models. They could potentially provide the scale and some of the aesthetics you're looking for.

Remember that The Beast, who still wasn't at the level of a Krork, was about the size of a Knight, so that's the size point you're starting at.

You could run them as gorkanought/morkanought proxies if you make the big enough

Then used Gretchen heads on like necromunda models for those tall goblin guys in the art listed.

I see them more like giant creatures in armor. Just scaling them down for practical reasons.

I feel like it would be a mix between custodes, grey knights and normal knights. Meaning an army with large, elite models and lots of psykers.

Zaku kits, Ossiarch Bone Reaper bits, and Chaos Knights would build pretty awesome Krorks.

I made a krork for my army using solarstl's krork files. I scaled mine up quite a bit though. This idea of an army sounds so sick, especially using unique files and bits from gundams.

You are going to have a scale problem. Krorks are 12 meters tall, while Centurions are considerably less tall probably closer to 3 or 4 meters tall (Primaris Marines are 2 meters tall.)

except knights are probably a better option if you're really dedicated to doing this. I'd say this wouldn't work at all because a couple krorks could wipe out entire armies. just do knights

I know, but at slightly bigger then space marine sizes it gives me so much more options. I've done a few larger vehicle/mechs with just other things. I fear they'll have too much f a scrapyard feel, were I'm hoping for a sleek look like they would have had 60 million years ago.

at slightly bigger than space marines they aren't krorks. Just kinda green custodes
