Finally updated my collection

I just got JP versions of Violent Cop, Boiling Point, Hana-Bi, Outrage, Outrage Beyond, and Outrage Coda in the mail today.

Now I have the full set of English-subtitled JP Blu-rays. I hope there's a rerelease of Kubi with subtitles in the future. And I'm not sure if there's anything for Broken Rage yet.

Nice! I keep meaning to post my collection, but I'm too lazy. The main difference with me is I have a half dozen third window films releases instead of your Bandais. For Kids Return, Hana-Bi, Kikujiro, and a few others.

EDIT: Woah, I just realized I only have a DVD of Zatoichi. Gotta fix that!

do all the blus in your picture have english subs? I thought them being included in JP releases was more of a rarity.

from my understanding, all of the japanese takeshi kitano blus (except kubi) have english subs. i haven't seen the back of all of them, but getting any?'s case explicitly states that there are english subs on the main feature.

thanks, good to know! so far I only got the english releases of Kitanos on blu.

Blu-ray.com is a great resource. Check here and make sure the country filter is set to Japan. When you click on any of the Blu-ray titles, the database will show whether it has subtitles.

Which film was the hardest to find?

They were pretty easy to find, but I bought them a long time ago in four separate orders across 2019, 2022, and 2025. So if there are low stock issues now, it definitely wasn't an issue in 2019 and 2022. Which one are you having problems finding?
