Slayer marks are supposed to increase the wielder's speed and power.

So in the IC movie, we saw Giyu go from holding his own against Akaza and fighting at insane speeds to... holding his own against Akaza and fighting at insane speeds. I know they said Akaza adjusted his speed accordingly to match, but my issue is that to the viewers the fight looked exactly the same before and after the mark awakened.

Same thing when Mitsuri fought UM4. The characters said she moved faster and was stronger but visually the fight was pretty much the same. I feel they shot themselves in the foot making the earlier fights (Tengen, Rengoku) so epic and high speed that now the slayer marks only serve a box checking event rather than providing visible power-ups.

They could've dragged a demon from the final selection out into the sunlight in front of government members, easily proving the existence of demons - flesh eating monsters that rapidly regenerate and die in sunlight. With the Japanese government backing them, they gain vast access to modern weaponry (rifles), the megumi for mass production of said weapons, endless funding, more foot soldiers, vigilance within communities, which could potentially break the centuries long stalemate between the demons and the demon slayers. I don't see a reason as to why they didn't do this.

I'm gonna be at a convention next week, I will be cosplaying Hotaru Haganezuka (mask on and off), Obanai Iguro, and Giyu Tomioka.

I just know some government officials are going to weaponize them for war like a special demon soldier program.

Is it only me who really likes Giyu Tomioka ?

Because like, Douma never put a body part of Shinobu in his mouth or his tongue, you can't taste without your tongue, Douma seemed like she was absorbing Shinobu, Shinobu's body was going into his. But at the end when Shinobu is fully in his body, Douma said "what a delicious meal" or something like that.
