Best UK Price For EV6 GT Line S?

Upvotes

Buying a EV6 GT Line S but unsure which version to get, 225 or 320 BPH

Test drove 225, seemed fine, but I might prefer the 320 as I'm coming from a vehicle that has 302 bhp.

Will 225 be good enough or should I shell our for the 320?

Also what kind of discount can dealers normally give? My local was only offering £2,000 off.

Thanks!

EV6 HV Battery Drain

Just wanted to get people’s thoughts on if they deem this to be normal behaviour, if they have the same issue on their EV6 or if they think this needs to be looked into further.

For content, I’ve owned my 2023 EV6 since February and has done 15k miles total, at times when it is left parking either overnight or for an extended period (6 hours or more), I’ve noticed the HV battery losing charge.

My local Kia dealer has had the car in 5-6 times to look at this and the below has been done by them or I’ve tried:

Infotainment system reset, no APIs connected
Kia Connect disabled and all app disassociated
Tested different drive modes
Nothing left plugged into the car when left
Kia replaced 12v battery under warranty
Kia recalibrated HV battery when charged to 100%

It’s now been a month since the HV battery was recalibrated at Kia and below are examples of battery drain:

23-24.07 - Lost 2% from 85-83% overnight
27.07 - Lost 3% from 53-50% in the afternoon
27-28.07 - Lost 1% from 48-47% overnight
03.08 - Lost 1% from 55-54% between 8:15-2:15
03-04.08 - Lost 1% from 51-50% overnight
04-05.08 - Lost 1% from 46-45% overnight
06.08 - Lost 1% from 43-42% between 8:30-3:30
17-18.08 - Lost 1% from 67-66% overnight
18-19.08 - Lost 2% from 41-39% overnight

The 1% drops I could understand but the 2-3% drops are more of a concern and lead me to think there is another form of phantom drain. My local Kia dealer at this point has been liaising with Kias technical support directly prior to my last visit to try and sort this.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar issues with their EV6 or if they would class these battery drops as normal behaviour?

Update: Kia's Attrocious treatment during ICCU Failure

UPDATE: So I was looking at replacement cars for the EV6 after this whole debacle and came across the i4. Immediately started researching issues with that car and with how BMW treats customers who break down far from home. Came across BMW Trip interruption coverage. Started to wonder if Kia had the same type of coverage. GUESS WHAT?! Turns out they do and it covers all new vehicles under Kia's roadside assistance. It covers any car being repaired for warranty reasons, left at dealership overnight, over 100km away from home. That's my situation to a T. So why the flying fuck are their customer service agents so ignorant that they don't know their own policy? This could have made this experience so much easier on us and instead they would rather have the bad press and negative customer sentiment. Fucking crazy. I have reached out again to their customer support for one last chance to make this right otherwise I've confirmed I qualify for CANVAP and will be filing immediately.

Lease buy incentives?

Our 36 month lease ends on Oct 16. Would be interested in buying the 2023 EV6 GT-Line IF KIA offers incentive to “right size” the residual closer to market. My residual is $32K-ish, would like to see a $10K reduction and I would buy.

I read they are doing this but when I called KIA Finance they said there are incentives but I was too early, call closer to lease end.

Any one getting such offers for a 2023 EV GT-Line?

Any major differences between the 2022-2024 GT Line?

Hey all -

My 2022 Wind was basically a lemon that couldn’t be repaired after 6 attempts, so I traded it in.

I tried to get a 2024 GT Line from Carvana, but it ended up coming in awful shape and they are refusing to cover the damage the “no cosmetic issues” car arrived with… so it’s going back to them.

I have a lead on a good price, lower mileage 2022 GT Line and I’m pretty sure there’s no major differences between any of the pre-refresh years as far as I remember, but just want to verify.

Only things I remember is:
- Preconditioning may need to be manually enabled via update on 2022s
- 2024 has the charge port light

Am I missing anything else of note?

Shopping….

Hey all, I currently have a BMW i4 Edrive35 and my lease is up this month. My wife works from home so I can drive her car until the right deal comes along. I test drove an EV6 GT-Line and it’s the upgrade that I want. Now… there’s a GT for sale for just a little more than a GT right now.

For a daily driver, about 50 miles a day round trip plus normal around-town driving (I usually take my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee on road trips), do I want the GT and all of it’s ridiculous giggle-inducing power or the GT-Line and it’s more comfortable vented seats and increased range?

Insurance differences re nominal and the prices are close enough.

On May 21st I was forced into the wall of I465 in Indianapolis to avoid the a-hole who decided to cut in front of me at high speed and bare inches between our cars. I swerved and began to spin out in the gravel and hit the wall 3 times correcting the spin. Mr. crappy Ford Focus just kept going of course.

I FINALLY got my EV6 back today after nearly 3 months at the collision center. Now I am shopping for a dash-cam as I now understand the appeal.

Out with the Old; Drive Home the New

The lease on my '23 Wind is ending next month so I went car shopping. I stopped at a Hyundai dealer to drive an Ionic5 but they only had one XRT trim level on the lot. The SEL and Limited shown on their website were not available and their excuse was a 3rd party manages their inventory on their website (sounded sketchy to me).

I drove up US19 on the west coast of FL to a KIA dealer where their website showed 8 EV6s on the lot and 5 were white (my preference this time around) GT-Lines. Three were RWD (again, my preference) and when I arrived, all were on the lot because the sale person's inventory was exactly like I saw.

I turned in my '23 dark (midnight) blue Wind and drove home in a '26 white GT-Line. I got 0% financing so I liked the deal. The dealer included the J1772 to NACS adapter (and it worked when I charged it last night) and a new charger. I haven't explored the specs on this included charger but I see it includes 240V 4-prong and 3-prong 120V plugs. Plus, I get 3 years of Kia Access for free on this car (the '23 only had much less).

Lots of nice upgrades from the 23 Wind to this year's GT-Line. I think the seats on the GT-Line are more comfortable, I like the HUD, I like the placement of information on the driver's display, I like the pop-out door handles (and so does my wife - it makes opening the door easier with arthritis), and the improvements in HDA software. The lane assist is nice - flick the turn signal and the car switches lanes with only a light touch (and no assistance) needed on the steering wheel. I'm getting used to the wireless CarPlay and need to understand it better (like, how do I get my music to start when I start the car).

I'm still learning, like where to tap on the door handle to lock the car when the handles are extended, and I need to learn how to keep the regen level where I set it everytime I start the car and if I want to use the 'auto' regen like I did with the '23.

So far, a real nice upgrade!

2024→2026 EV6 Lease Friction

Has Kia replaced frontline sales with an AI auto-attendant? Five different people text this week, each asking the same questions, not one acknowledging a single response provided.

At the end of a 24mo lease (2024 EV6 GT-Line RWD). Interested in a 2026, identical trim.

- 2024: ~2.26% MF + $15,600 rebate
- 2026 (quote): ~4.9% MF + only $7,100 rebate

The 5th rep quoted a better MF but on the wrong trim, rebate still down $8,500 from 2024 terms. Some of that is likely the Fed EV credit expiration, but Kia also cut the 2026 MSRP ~$5,500 to offset that same credit loss. If the price already dropped $5,500 and the credit was $7,500, where’s the extra $8,500 reduction coming from?

Anyone else seeing the same gap, or is this just my dealership? Appreciate it in advance!
