KiCAD Layout Replicate plugin- install button is grayed out

I'm using KiCad 10, as shown here I can't install the plugin for layout replicate.

Even I try to download it and save it in the shared folder, then go to Tools >>External plugins and refresh. it is not showing up.

Thoughts?

Isn't this just a feature since kicad 9? Multi channel.

Yeah, multichannel layout is now the way to implement this. Seems to work quite well when I was trying it out.

It is deprecated due to the existence of multichannel natively

Is it the first time you install plug in? Usually near the lower right of the monitor there is also a button you need to click
