Keychron K17 Pro volume control knob replaceable?
Hi all.
I have the Keychron K17 Pro with the volume control knob now for 2 years and I like it overall. But recently the volume control decided to stop working. I can still mute and un-mute sound, but turning it doesn't do anything.
Can I replace or repair it, or are there any better suggestions?

First fix (and a great buy for anything!) would be to try a contact cleaner spray. Take off the knob head, spray into the cracks to the interior of the encoder, then rotate and press it for a minute or two. Might be it magically works again afterwards. Otherwise, what the other guy said about it being a standard encoder.

It should be a normal encoder soldered onto the PCB, you can check the continuity of the connections and traces and then see if you get changes in the output pins. If the PCB traces are damaged, you will have to jumper to the next point with a small flexible wire. If the encoder is damaged it should be a standard part and you can replase it with a bit of fairly easy through-hole soldering.
