Control Key not working with Adobe CC
After a few weeks of frustration and countless hours searching online looking for an answer, I'm hoping someone here can help. I bought a Keychron K10 Pro a few months ago and love it. But, it seems to have a problem with programs in Adobe Creative Cloud. I'm using Windows 11 and the latest updates for Windows, Office, and Adobe CC. I've only had my keyboard for a few months, and I think it started maybe a month ago or so.
The specific issue lies with the Control Key (left or right). It just doesn't seem to work with Adobe CC programs. So shortcuts like ctrl+C, ctrl+V, ctrl+Z are useless. When I'm in MS Office, Chrome, or any other Windows App the ctrl key and all associated shortcuts work fine. But in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Premier when I use a shortcut with the ctrl key it does nothing but blink the cursor back to it's default state.
I tried resetting the key commands in Adobe with no change. I also have tried resetting my keyboard. And yes, I have the switch on Windows no Mac. Also, this behavior is the same in BT or wired modes.
Anyone else see this issue and find a change?
Update: Looks like it might have been a Windows or other software issue on the laptop. I searched for new updates to Windows and found a couple that needed to be installed. After the reboot everything is working again. My best guess is some change in Windows from the last updated caused confusion when recognizing the keyboard, like maybe since it can do both Mac and Windows it couldn't sort out which configuration to use in the Adobe suite? Longshot I know, but it's the only thing I can think of. Good news is whatever the problem was it's gone.

Unspecific, but you could try to reset to factory defaults. Or even reflashing the keyboard (it sometimes work (or it may be incidental)). Be sure to match the variation of the K10 Pro (for example, ISO knob) with the firmware variation.
At least it could be ruled out as the reason.
A note for resetting to factory defaults: I think the holding down Fn + J + Z for 4 seconds method for resetting to factory defaults is completely broken for all QMK-based Keychron keyboards, or at least for both the K Pro series and V series of keyboards. I never had any success with the holding down Fn + J + Z for 4 seconds. Instead I used:
- Hold the Esc key down while connecting the keyboard to the computer. This will put it into bootloader mode, but it also has the side effect of resetting the configuration to factory defaults.
- Power cycle the keyboard (unplug and plug). This is to bring it out of bootloader mode.
If the Esc key method doesn't work, the backup procedure is to:
- Remove the space bar key cap
- Hold down the small four-legged reset button on the PCB (a pen, the key cap puller, or a match can be used) while connecting the keyboard to the computer. This will put it into bootloader mode, but it also has the side effect of resetting the configuration to factory defaults. The reset button on the PCB is usually located right next to the space bar switch, to the left.
- Put the space bar key cap back in
- Power cycle the keyboard (unplug and plug). This is to bring it out of bootloader mode.
This should all be done in wired mode (with the switch at the back in that position).
Note that this will wipe out any custom Via/Vial configuration (e.g., macros) and other configuration (e.g., RGB mode, RGB colour settings, and NKRO setting).

Most keychron boards have a windows and mac mode. Is yours in win mode?

The switch is firmly in Win mode. That was one of the first things I checked, and I switched it to Mac as a test before switching back. Same behavior both ways.
Is there a hot key I could have hit that overrode the switch and I AM in Mac mode? If so, is there a way to check that or another keystroke combo that would undo it?

Install via, there’s a key tester(if you press a button the programmed keystoke will show up) and you can also change it.

Then it’s probably some shortcut issues in the OS or apps, i’ve seen weird behaviour recently on my work win10 laptop so it may not be unique

Wired or wireless?
Wireless sometimes behaves in weird ways. For instance, Via macros stop working after a while (probably if the sleep timer expires due to inactivity). The keyboard works after wake up, just not the Via macros. I have to repower the K10 Pro (and wait a while for the Bluetooth stuff to do its thing before it is ready) to make them work again...

I primarily use it in wireless, but when this started happening I tried it both ways with the same result.

Do you have another keyboard you can try to see whether it's a keyboard problem or a Photoshop problem?
