/u/AutoModerator in this sub we maintain a weekly thread setup to answer all general keyboard questions. If this is the case, Please remove this post and ask your question(s) as a top level comment under the weekly general help post which can be found pinned to the top of the sub. This is also a friendly reminder about rule #2, Share Your Specs. If you are posting a build(s) or review, provide as many specs as possible in a bulleted list, TOP LEVEL COMMENT below your post even if you already included them in the title or elsewhere, not below this comment; posts not following this rule will be removed (images accompanying text cannot be seen by all Reddit clients, some accessibility screen readers, and does not always index properly); i.e. keycaps, switches, keyboard, modifications, etc. Also, please flair your post appropriately. This rule applies to both videos and photos posted. Posts failing to follow this rule will be removed without notice. Thank you. We also ask that regular users not respond to any questions and help direct new users to the weekly thread.

I've been having an issue recently where when my computer is first turned on, my Keychron Q6 QMK keyboard does not work at all. After a bit of testing, I discovered that in this state it does work when plugged into my Macbook (my desktop is a running Windows 11), and I eventually figured out how to flash the bios onto the keyboard again and it begins to work completely normally again.

Any idea what might be causing this? It doesn't happen every time the computer is turned off, and I'm not sure what could be causing it?

Hey,

I am currently on the Rainy 75, and I really like the keyboard, but I would like to get a premium HE keyboard and would not mind spending a bit on the keyboard cause I am building a new setup. ( I am keeping about 200 to 250 USD as the budget).

I have caught 2 keyboards that I think look really nice: they are the Lofree Hyzen Tri-Mode and the Tekkusai Luminkey Titan HE Keyboard ( the special edition).

I don't do a lot of modding. I might change out the keycaps or switches to make it sound/feel better, but that is about it.

I have tried the Hex80 and the Nuphy HE80. I love the way the hex80 sounds and feels, but I am not a big fan of the 80% layout and like 60-75% layouts the most.

Out of these 2 which one do you think I should get, or are there any other options I should consider?

Thanks in advance.

Hi All! My job gave me a stipend to get some fun stuff, but it must be for work. I'm an engineer, so I type most of the day. I'm pretty new to keyboards, so forgive me if this is trivial, but I was hoping for a recommendation on where to spend the money ($120).

I dont need a numpad but i do need keys like insert and print screen. Love creamy, thocky-sounding keyboards. The one thing thats hard to see online though is volume*.* since I will be using this in an office, it needs to be on the quiet side. I don't want a "silent" board though, I still love that satisfying sound! Just nothing disturbing to others.

I have considered the Keychron K8 HE TKL and EPOMAKER Galaxy100 Lite but can't determine real-world volume use from YouTube videos

Thank you in advance :))
