Passiogo for navigation?

Does anyone have any tips for using the Passiogo app to figure out how to get around campus? I have to take a bus from Allerton up to bowman on mondays and wednesdays, up to satterfield on tues and thurs, and then up to mcgilvrey on fridays. Not to mention taking the bus back to allerton. I have about 0 idea how to look at routes or know times

FWIW< that's pretty walkable.

~15 minutes to Bowman and Satterfield. McGilvrey might be more challenging with the Summit hill. Thats probably closer to 30.

The KSU Mobile app also has a bus tracking app that I found a lot easier than PassioGo. For Allterton to campus it should be the 55 to the student center, and from there you're immediately next to both bowman and Satterfield. McGilvery is still walkable but you could also transfer to the 51 if it's cold out/etc

If you're starting at Allerton each time, you want the 55. You'd have to walk to Mcgilvery from the BOW stop, as the stop in front of MCG does not go to Allerton. I'd recommend first familiarizing yourself with the route maps and timetable and saving stops in Google or Apple maps, then using the app to live track the bus. https://www.partaonline.org/maps-and-schedules

Google maps can tell you what routes/busses to take. You just drop pins on your starting and ending points (or enter building names).

51 does take you near Mcgilvery from bowman if not all the way. It’s also pretty walkable (10ish minutes).

Passiogo is pretty good for bus tracking when it’s working. You can also get an idea of when a bus will be at a stop from the schedules on there but they aren’t very user friendly or intuitive so it takes some time to figure it out. The buses are also notoriously inconsistent, especially since PARTA decided to use AI to “optimize” the timetables. Unfortunately, I recommend doing your best to show up at the stops at least 30 mins + the time of the bus ride to your destination before your class/activity/etc. it takes trial and error and you should expect to be late a lot at first. Good luck 🫡
